NJPW: Will Ospreay vs KUSHIDA - Video Dailymotion

:) check it out. don't worry it's not actually 47 minutes long. There's something about that match that's kinda WWE related and I'll post my thought after the WWE PPV. I have no idea what's on the card except the main event. Samoa Joe was the only person that ever made sense for a match against Brock at a non big deal PPV and he's still my pick. I guess they could bury Wyatt more. Balor and Seth were surely planned to face Brock on the way to Roman-Brock at WM.

He countered a dive with an RKO.

Great match, and one thing that struck me was how good the commentary was. I felt like I knew the entire backstory by the time the match was ten minutes in, and even the running gags throughout were good. "We've got one of the best slow-mo guys in the business on board with us for this match." *later, after the frankensteiner, when the replay was delayed* "Not even the best in the business can keep up with this ****!"

It got a bit corny at times (THE DRAGON BARED ITS FANGS AT OSPREAY) but hey I'll take it.

As far as modern WWE matches with too many people in them go, this 5-way has been pretty good.
yeah it was really good. almost everything made sense bar maybe Samoe Joe being used by Bray like that. Made Joe look a bit like a geek. Unfortunately Bray wasn't a disaster in this match so we'll have to put up with 3 months of people saying how good Bray could be if not for booking...

Anyone could be amazing with booking Tbf. Don't think Joe looked like a geek either, they've been portraying him as a smart monster and mentioned them both betraying one another. Bray looked persuasive and Joe looked like an opportunist. Wins all round.

Now where to for Great Balls of Fire? Reigns and Rollins need a program and ideally not against one another. Balor and Wyatt was hinted at already so we may get that. Ambrose is also free or close to it.

Maybe they should set up Reigns to have a six month Ic title reign to explain away him not going after Lesnar. Miz as a transitional champ is never a bad thing.

Is anyone else hoping that basically everyone in the five way will get a run at Lesnar this year? And this is an ideal situation where Lesnar doesn't squash them but they have competitive matches but come up short. It's ultra Superman Reigns booking, but Lesnar v Joe, Wyatt, Balor and Rollins in singles is just ****ing cool.

I think of the five, Joe was always the most interesting option. His physique makes him semi-believable as a threat to Lesnar in a Mark Hunt-esque sort of way, and he's got the mic skills to actually go back and forth with Heyman. Those sorts of segments would get me interested in watching RAW again.

I wonder if they'll seriously have Balor vs. Lesnar. He'd probably still be my number two, but despite not being a size guy - that might be one of the few times where a matchup would break the suspension of disbelief for me. He's genuinely smaller than me, even if he does have an 8 pack. Match would probably be good, though.

Miz winning the IC title was sort of a no-brainer a this point. I honestly think it's time to turn Ambrose heel now. He's going to look 45 and bald in two years, pull the trigger.

The treatment of Bayley was interesting. Officially lost faith in her? You can't really have her as champion on a three hour show, I think. They need to be featured quite a bit and her mic skills aren't up to par.

Hope they do Joe vs Lesnar properly and not just another damn suplex fest
I just struggle to see Brock doing anything for Joe. I'm trying to picture Joe putting a sleeper hold on Brock and...he just breaks out of it in 3 seconds and surplexs Joe. Maybe Brock can be sold into respecting Joe a bit and we can a bit more out of it

As for the schedule, I assumed Joe was gonna win last night because presumably Rollins vs Brock is happening at the Rumble, Balor probably happens between Summerslam and the Rumble, so only Wyatt misses out, and who cares about that (and they could do Wyatt in Balor's place and Balor gets a shot after WM)

Lesnar possible schedule

Great Balls of Fire - Joe (confirmed)
Summerslam - Strowman (rumored)
No Mercy -
Hell in a Cell (unconfirmed PPV) -
Survivor Series -
Clash of Champions -
Royal Rumble -
Fastlane/Elimination Chamber -
]Wreslemania - Reigns (rumored)

He's expected to work more PPVs this year, so easily enough room for Balor/Wyatt/Rollins in there. Hell in a Cell vs. Wyatt would probably be the best, Wyatt does slightly better in no-DQ matches.

Sounds like something that would be pretty awesome a few months down the line, I also think I'd like to eventually see Angle vs. Wyatt at WM.

Wyatt's previous Mania matches and "interactions Cena, Undertaker, Rock, Orton so far. Having another legend and one he can finally get a win against would be gun.
