The problem is Rock just seems to show up as and when he likes, without ever committing properly to any long term story or plan, which obviously makes designing long term feuds and angles etc. extremely challenging.
WWE doesn’t need him anymore.

I know it did great numbers but Rock was unnecessary in 2012 and more so today

I guess I can see why that didn't make the write ups
Tbf in storyline/kayfabe they have kind of been excluded by HHH I think. But yeah, gotta get Hogan and his "Real American Beer" plugged on the show.

The fact that Hogan looked visibly pissed off/upset at the crowd shitting on him was great though. Reckon the E will probably have second thoughts about using him again in the near future tbh.

Seems like they were scheduled to have a match vs Rey and a mystery opponent but it was put off. (Wonder if that was the Penta debut? Seems he is debuting vs Gable next week)

Roman is the biggest star in the company but he is more of a special attraction right now.
The 'stars' are Roman/Rhea/Becky/Cody and Punk to my eyes. You have some people close to that level like Rollins and Drew as well.

WWE have to be regretting making any kind of long term deal with Hogan now. Though it's America so it is probably pleasing someone

Wrestle Kingdom looks like a mixed bag. ZSJ as a main eventer is unconvincing. Omega being back in a major way looks tremendous though. His new entrance theme is ridiculous (Final Fantasy composer made it for him, and a more famous FF composer says his name on it and worked on it too) but suits the guy.

Very curious how he will be portrayed on AEW going forward. You need him at the main event but he isn't at all the right person for the current story. Seems like Tony Khan is struggling with keeping everyone at a high level at the moment.
