Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev vs. mystery opponent for summerslam.

Rusev and Jinders heelish ways have torn apart the noble Americans and that no good Kevin Owens hasn't been helping. Orton, Styles, and Mojo, the american heroes keep getting ganged up on and the friendly foreign jobbers Zayn and Nakamura just get their ass kicked week after week.

Everyone thinks that the mystery opponent will be Cena. The tension in the air is thick, who can saves us from the Indian and Russian monsters.

Lol.. wasn't there a League of Nations or some group with Barrett, Sheamus, Rusev and one more guy I am missing (Del Rio?). Even that story has been done way too recently to be rehashed. I will just say just go old school personal vengence. The Indian in America angle can be used to build Jinder's character more than the feud. Just before the Montreal Screwjob, we had some must see TV with two heels headlining RAW in the US cities. Wonder if WWE can ever hit those highs again?
No.

I can't believe you guys are missing the most obvious thing.

Jinder's win is merely the start of Orton trading the belt back and forth through summer and fall so he's a sixteen-time world champion when he headlines Wrestlemania against whoever the champion is... and John Cena, also on sixteen reigns, to see who passes Flair first.

(Irrelevant (c) vs.) John Cena vs. Randy Orton: this time it's for reals.
Pfft, everyone knows they'll put the belt on Rollins in December. He'll ruin his knee in March and miss 'Mania, meaning there's no pesky third man involved in Orton vs Cena MCMXXII

Kinda wish Nakamura was looking stronger even if he got the pin
Yeah the match was very questionably booked imo. Ziggler (and let's bear in mind the audience has, over the course of the last few years, been conditioned into thinking he's a total loser) kicked his ass for most of it.

Not a huge deal for people who know who he is I guess, but for people who only watch RAW and Smackdown they'll have seen a guy who's been built up as a star coming across as a bit of a dweeb who managed to sneak a win.

Are you two talking about his PPV match or Smackdown? I obviously have said my views on the former, but having not watched highlights of his SD match, I like to think it was better booked this time, but then the problem with an AJ/Nakamara tag is that...you know, someone will have to take the beating...

It really reminded me of a match Sami Zayn had against Cody Rhodes not long after Sami became a full member of the roster. I hated that match so much. It was the same problem, you had a heel who has been poorly used as a face for years just beating up on your new babyface, in what should have been a showcase for the babyface.

Was talking about the SD match. The PPV was bad enough but having Ziggler toss Nakamura around for the second time in 3 nights just stinks.

Ziggler would have been a good starting feud if Nakamura had just completely rolled him. Or feed someone to him before Ziggler but mid-upper mid card heels should be making Nakamura look a million dollars not actually giving him a beating.

My interest in SDL has diminished since Jinder won the title but I tuned it to watch Punjabi celebration but that was disappointing to say the least with Jinders hoarseness

So WWE is coming back to India in September and rumour has it they want Jinder to have the strap so he can headline the shows.

It's like the gift which keeps on giving.
According to Wrestling News World – so take this with a pinch of salt, as they’ve been pretty patchy as of late – “Currently, unless there is a SIGNIFICANT dive in ratings or ticket sales, the plan is for Jinder Mahal to carry the WWE Title until the Royal Rumble in which he would drop it to…John Cena.”

Oh please Vince do this. Pretty please...
