Whenever I’ve read/heard Neil Maxwell over the years, it’s always some ‘warning’ about how the game is changing and cricket administrators (and tacitly, fans) have to adjust to the trillions of dollars around the corner. Even the massive increase in money the top players get now it’s always the same schtick with him.No Cookies | NT News
Players for hire?
Just on political affilications of cricket types, interesting how Dan Brettig in his recent Cricinfo article on ‘odd couple’ pairing of Warner & Cowan say that they’re both conservative in their outlook. Actually bit surprised Cowan is that; had him more pegged as a hipster (albeit wealthier than most), Greens type; the renewable espresso pods business he’s involved in seemed to fit into that. He's a Libeal party supporter mate. He loves John Howard ffs. He hates unions.
I'm sure that the lawyers would have a field day with that oneCricket pay dispute: CA may stop uncontracted Australians from playing away
CA might block players,playing overseas.

I feel like the Bangladesh tour has a good chance of being cancelled anyway. Really doesn't seem like too many people (outside of Bangladesh) want it to happen.I hope CA don't cancel any tours, even if some or all the players pull out.
