guess it can't hurt giving women a few more reasons to hate on cricket
He's either eligible to play again or he's not. The sort of women who are going to hate on cricket because of it, will do regardless whether he plays in the next month, or overseas in 6 months time. Purposely delaying his selection for the sake of PR (again assuming they think he warrants a place) feels like a concession that NZ cricket aren't really backing him. I get what you're saying that they don't need anyone to know if they've made a point of delaying consideration for a minimum period, I just feel on principle if he's good enough tomorrow, he plays tomorrow.guess it can't hurt giving women a few more reasons to hate on cricket
Thing is not guilty isn't the same as innocent, especially in rape cases which have such a low conviction rate. His own words and description of the case paint him as a scumbag so I have no idea why New Zealand cricket have to staunchly support him. We'll have to agree to disagree. For me if anything, I'd like to see NZ cricket stand staunchly in support of him as soon as they feel he warrants selection. In many ways the earlier the better, almost to make the point that they're not going to let the fact it was high profile (by NZ standards) effect him given he was not-guilty.
Being a lecherous knob shouldn't prevent you from playing international cricket. If this disqualified you, we would have missed out on a number of great players (Warne, Gayle etc.)Thing is not guilty isn't the same as innocent, especially in rape cases which have such a low conviction rate. Because that's how we treat people when they're found to be not guilty, as a functioning member of society who are entitled to the same opportunities as others.Thing is not guilty isn't the same as innocent, especially in rape cases which have such a low conviction rate. TBF there's plenty of things that aren't crimes that make you a ****wit.Because that's how we treat people when they're found to be not guilty, as a functioning member of society who are entitled to the same opportunities as others.
As somebody else rightfully pointed out, that didn't stop the likes of Warne, KP and Gayle and the like having very successful cricket careers.TBF there's plenty of things that aren't crimes that make you a ****wit.
To be honest nobody is entitled to anything in life.... many people have lost jobs or not been given opportunity for behaviour in personal life regardless of their work ethic/productiveness. Not saying whether that is right or wrong... just reality of life.Because that's how we treat people when they're found to be not guilty, as a functioning member of society who are entitled to the same opportunities as others.
Are they ****wits though? Or just kinda sons of bitches? As somebody else rightfully pointed out, that didn't stop the likes of Warne, KP and Gayle and the like having very successful cricket careers.
I agree about entitlement from the standpoint that nobody is by right owed a living, but one great thing about a non-corrupt democracy like New Zealand, is employees generally do get as fair an opportunity based on merit as the next guy, provided of course personal behaviours aren't out of control Jesse Ryder stylez. To be honest nobody is entitled to anything in life.... many people have lost jobs or not been given opportunity for behaviour in personal life regardless of their work ethic/productiveness. Played.None of them
Warne can be taken out of the equation tbh, he was murdered in 07 as part of a conspiracy to let Liquid Warne (Post-retirement Warne) take over. .

So on the spot, if Tim Southee did a groin tonight.... Kuggs would be your man all else equal ?He's not a scumbag, he's a nice guy
Give your head a wobble.He's not a scumbag, he's a nice guy

The question is , would he be NZL cricket's man.
Not the best bowling attack, but not the worst either if we're honest.Hint - Howsie's dream NZ bowling attack would be
Southee
Boult
Kuggs
Ish
Santner
plus a bit of Corey Anderson and KW
Then keep Watling as keeper, and return Dean Brownlie and Daniel Flynn to the top order and find a place for Bharat Popli or Daryl Mitchell and you've got his perfect XI
As much as I hate to admit it, ND has produced and recruited some excellent cricketersNot the best bowling attack, but not the worst either if we're honest.
He would be my choice regardless. Boult, Southee and Kuggs would make for an excellent attack, especially seeing as Kuggs is more than a handy enough batsman. Throw in Sodhi or Santner as the spinner and that's a good looking teamSo on the spot, if Tim Southee did a groin tonight.... Kuggs would be your man all else equal ?
