Man I'd take CdG over Henry any day. At least CdG can still send his career crashing down, whereas Henry is already at the bottom.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

what on earth has happened with the sudden turn against santner. As a supporting spinner bowling on NZ pitches he's done pretty bloody well, and aside from being the anti-kock I see no great benefit in playing jeets.

Should Matt Henry just Retire now?

An accidentally under prepared green top. Where win toss or lose we will be batting within the first 2 sessions.

Nope. We will take a part timer.
And open with our specialist 3rd seamer.

Unbelievable that we are playing a three-bowler attack 8-) If this is an attempt to draw the match from the outset then we know how that always goes.

I guess if it swings then CDG is not hopeless as a bowler, but still far from the 4th best bowler in the country - probably more like the 24th.

Glad santner out. Way too bits and pieces and only in the team for "potential".

But neeaham and cdg are also similar. Either way henry is an awful test bowler so no choice

Kuggs would've been the ideal guy to plug in there at number 8. CdG really has no business taking on a front-line bowler's role.

His consistent selection had been giving too much stability and they thought he should join the spin-bowling merrygoround with the others. Next series they'll do something else random anyway - Mark Craig as ODI spinner anyone?

Admittedly, Santner hasn't been batting well and that is part of his job, while Patel is good at whipping de Kock out.

Speculation that we're going to play Patel and Sodhi in the Hamilton test too, which truly would be an about-face on Santner.

Sodhi and patel is absolutely the right choice for hamilton. Santner is a part time bowler who bats a bit in test cricket.

Sounds like good bowling tbh.

I would say when you're in bad form you can't catch a break, except that Latham already had one and it didn't help :(

Latham in such bad touch you can get him out twice cheaply.

Frustrating thing is that he looked like the answer for so long. Scoring runs and the right character.

But in the top 6 today he is 2nd most experienced batsman and needed to step up.
