True, it also shows how many people get call ups these days. I don't love fox sports articles generally but do visit the site a bit and I feel like every week they have a who is "insert new guy who has been selected".
yeah you could probably do that (or close to it) for almost states. So many players with international experience (however brief) around

Would love to have seen Hartley picked for the India tour if he wasn't injured. Batting has been pretty decent the past few seasons, so would put more faith in his ability to stick it out with the bat and keep better than Wade.

I've come up with these building off n00fers. Criteria is that you qualify for the team you last played a Shield game for (or are currently state contracted to), and that you must be active in this year's Shield/Matador/BBL, or would be if not for injury. I've padded out the teams with unqualified players in brackets where I could.

So we're lacking a 'keeper from SA, a 'keeper from Queensland, and a Tasmanian batsman. If this T20i squad doesn't feature Carey/Ludeman, Silk/Webster and Pierson (plus Swepson, obvs), I will be disappointed.

Would definitely pick Cowan over quite a few of the players in that NSW lineup.. preferably a bowler but given it's NSW and that's not allowed, it should probably be Rohrer. Maddinson could bat four in that case.

Yeah I wasn't paying too much attention to the actual composition, but fix'd

Well done Dan. Was Mark Waugh the commentator when Ben McDermott made his runs? He might be a bolter, I mean he is probably more likely compared to Silk.

It really does show how unlucky Klinger and Hartley have been.

A good day for wicket keeping sons, with both Tim Nielsen's son Harry making 103 and Ian Healy's son Tom top scoring with 48.

The outfield is ridiculously fast, and the wicket is fast too. Usually enough grass to get some movement though, but once you get in...
