*Official* Bangladesh in New Zealand 2016/2017

Heard them having a moan about Voges' double ton at the Basin last year, too. Carrying on like a bunch of 5yo spoiled brats in general, how embarrassing.
I don't know who the commentators were, but I loved this passage of play:

"It felt as if you could wake up the next morning, return to the ground, and Voges would still be batting"
*laughter*
"I tell you what, it was the most boring innings of all time"
Other commentator - "And to Adam Voges if you're listening, we hope you're doing fine"
"And I hope we never have to meet"

I literally lol'd at my desk.

Nah, score 600 imo. I know he is rated as a batsmen but Mehedi Hasan has looked absolutely putrid in Tests so far with the blade hasn't he?
Seems more flash than substance. Can't get away with things here that he could in U-19s.

But then again, maybe he's just having a bad start. Even Atapattu racked up loads of ducks early in his career. Too early to judge.
He's just trying to set himself up for the record, but making a bit of a meal of it, that's all

The New Zealand commentators must have been taking Channel 9 lessons with all their declaration begging. "Waah, waah, If Bangladesh don't declare today and stop flogging us it shows that they don't want to win! Waah!"
Ugh, this never fails to grate me. Thank god I wasn't listening.

How many catches did we drop? Seems to me the way that guy Mehedi played, if Santner had swallowed the catch on day one that they'd be out for 250. We really have caught poorly this summer.

What NZ! You allowed Shakib Al Hassan to score a double ton against Wagner-Southee-Boult!

This beats the 200's scored by other 2 bowlers -Wasim Akram against Zim and Jason Gillespie against Bangers.

This is bizarre, it's taking time for me for this to sink in. Shakib Al Hassan has already achieved what Tendulkar, Lara and Ponting have not achieved in New Zealand. That too against a good attack.

Yeah, he averages over 40 with the bat.

Will they bat on and declare overnight and choose their roller? I think they should keep going - hopefully WAGs gets himself a 5-fer.

People have forgotten that NZ recently thrashed Pak 2- 0. Teams are allowed to have bad days. Yes NZ is about middle ranked in test matches and they had one bad day. Its not the end of the world. Remember Shakib was dropped 3 times and run outs missed they both had their share of luck, lots of edges and inside edges. they also missed a trick with Ish Sodhi.

Santner single handedly awarded Shakib his 200 and was completely ineffective as a bowler.NZ looked a bit tired they've had a lot of cricket recently non stop. This pitch is a total road, no assistance from the bowlers and the guys who scored runs have done it in the past its just that this time all 4 of them scored at the same time which never happens. Its still a flash in the pan until they can do this over and over again consistently. Whose not to say that NZ score 700 by batting in the next 2 days and BD collapses for 100 all out on 5th day.

BD bowling line up is a complete joke. They will get horribly flayed by NZ just as they did in the ODIs by Munro, Anderson and company. At most BD bowler might pick up- 2 -3 wickets. Their top 4s all have a chance of getting 200 or 300. Even Jason Gillespie scored 200 against BD. When BD gets this type of score constantly for a few years then they will be taken seriously. for now just a flash in the pan.

Er, has anyone explained to Bangers this is day 3? Are they seriously about trying to win this test, or just looking for their highest total?

Btw, I didn't realize Southee's going for 4.7 an over. Good pitch or not, that is unforgivable in 32 overs.

Jesus, did Williamson learn something overnight? Not starting with Boult and Southee like he always does regardless of situation.

Apparently Southee didn't learn anything overnight though.

Lol, is he trying to punish Southee with no slips? Haha and no 3rd man. I give up, we're the worst side in the world at leaking runs to 3rd man, and we never have a fielder there.

The overs will be made up will be made up by the end of the 5th day.

They should go out and try to bat out this next hour or so.

Also, being that Bangladesh are going at 4s, and there has only been 130 overs bowled, people thinking they're crazy for having not declared need to just chill out, or go back to T20.

Yes it's the third day, but there are still 290 overs left in this match.

their best shot at winning is probably batting once and rolling nz twice

Yup, they're still going at 3 an over or so. Plenty of time left.

shakib the original goat. Ashwin the new goat.

Both have the potential to end as the true goat but Shakib is ahead on the matter.
What does goat mean.

While were on the subject of board phrases. WAFG is that, what a f**king great?
