*Official* Bangladesh in New Zealand 2016/2017

Thing that strikes me about this Bangladesh side is how mentally weak they are. Staying down with minor niggles, getting out after short periods of pressure, and now being run out to the ****ing keeper. And that's the captain.
But, but, but ... there was much talk about how talented this Bangladeshi team was and how their players could make any side in the world!

Guess you missed the part where before the series I said Bangladesh were absolutely woeful and were being over-hyped due to performing on low dust bowls at home.

1. He's 24.
2. He's the only guy who came out of Australia with his reputation enhanced
3. He's got lovely flight, accuracy and control
4. He's improving rapidly each season
5. The raw materials of what he's bowling are better than any spinner we've had since Vettori

It's not exactly a hard on, it's the fact that he's the best batsman of our spinners, as well as being the best bowler of our spinners too.

ps - that was **** **** running by Shakib.
Which tour to Australia are you talking about?

Batting
MJ Santner (NZ) 3 3 0 17 15 5.66

Bowling
MJ Santner (NZ) 3 3 28.0 0 130 3 2/43 43.33 4.64

Thems not stats to get overly excited about.

Was there? That was probably one person's opinion. And what does talent have to do with mental application? I said there are a couple of players that could become internationally reputable players in better environments, ie Tamim. Today was a perfect example. Looked a million bucks, then played an absolute braindead shot past 50 which he's made a habit of doing. It's saying they're mentally weak, not completely rubbish.

Oh believe me I'm agreeing with you whole heartedly. I too posted recently that Bangladesh were plain rubbish and was told that they had world class players who would make it into any team.

When everyone else is going at sixes and sevens, and you're going at fours...?

This is a pointless argument, you're the only guy who has an issue with Santner being rated as the best spinner in NZ.

Haha. You bold the bowling average for a guy who bowls through the middle of the innings as a containing spinner. He's not pretending to be Murali. 4.64 in Australia when we went for 370 and two other 250+ ers. But that's cool, see how the game how you wish.

4.6 RPO is very good when Aus scored 260 - 370 and in every innings one of the top 3 made a big 100. The other middle innings bowlers went for 6 (de Grandhomme) and 10 (Neesham).

Edit - bingo ....

I'm not really sure what you lot are even arguing about anymore, but I don't particularly rate Santner, batting or bowling!

I hope he never comes a Murali!

That was a pretty good nut from Williamson to be fair, he seems to be bowling better than ever - getting drift and more turn than either Santner or Patel too.
