Grrrr. Yeah. I can still remember Bill Lawry raving on about what incredible bowling it was. And Craig McMillan taking up a stance about a foot outside off-stump.
It was incredible bowling. Superb accuracy under pressure.

I don't think Pak have been aiming for a win today. They have been super slow and making runs. I am guessing they want to get out here with a draw and get some confidence under their belt for the tour of Australia.

There's always a one day equation that people think about when it comes to chases like these, forgetting that when it comes down to it, the fielding side can just put everyone back and have the bowler bowl ODI wides to prevent scoring (see also, Australia vs New Zealand, Brisbane 2001).

So basically, they'll need a blinder innings + Kane to keep an aggressive field set + some atrocious bowling to get a win.
Fewer restrictions on short balls too.

Strange tactic from Timmy in seemingly giving them width. I'd be looking to take the pace off the ball at least once an over at this point.

Surely you'd want to keep Southee in reserve for the second new ball, and ball Wagz/Colin until then.

Aslam goes. Good knock, but now the door is a crack ajar with the new ball just a few overs away. Where are all you ****s who moaned about a generous declaration now?

Lol. Nah. Pretty much perfect batting conditions. I wouldn't have ruled out one 200 run partnership in 50 overs. If that had happened the game would be nicely set up.

Hamilton is flat as a general rule, but isn't particularly easy to score quick runs on either. Particularly as the match progresses. I'd have been very surprised to see this Pakistan side score that quickly. We could never have made this declaration against AU/SA/Ind though.
