Interesting hypothesis

A bit rich calling the Aussies hairy. Pakistan doesn't lack in that dept either.
Pretty well argued piece I thought. Worth remembering in 2011 Pakistan won with Tanveer Ahmed, Umar Gul and Riaz with Abdul Rehman as spinner. In 2003 Shabbir Ahmed and Sami were quite the surprise package I recall.

Also this time Yasir gives Pakistan an added edge though it'll be interesting to see how he goes in these conditions.

In that ideal world, Pakistan would have gone on this tour with an ageing Asif ready to say his goodbyes, having spent six years tutoring Amir and a Junaid Khan who wasn't made of papier-mâché. With Wahab ready to bowl on tracks that suit his style of bluster, Pakistan would have started the New Zealand series with fast bowling their strength rather than their supposed weakness.
Sigh
