****ing Umar Akmal. Wtf happened to him?
He's only 26 but his international career's practically dead. Laziness and lack of application of course.****ing Umar Akmal. Wtf happened to him?
You're asking this now? Come on!****ing Umar Akmal. Wtf happened to him?
that series was awesome. even had shots fired between captains and groundsmen in the papers.Well the last time Pakistan played New Zealand in November around the same time, they won the toss, bowled first and conceded 429 runs with an arguable a better seam attack than the one they have now
1st Test: New Zealand v Pakistan at Dunedin, Nov 24-28, 2009 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo
Vehemently disagree that Craig was the best spinner in the first test. He bowled a flat, negative, unthreatening line and hence didn't go for runs. Santner was quite comfortably better. Jeetan was perfectly fine in the series as well.Late to the party on this, but Craig was by far the best spinner in the first test. He bowled with alot more control than I'd seen in the past and had reduced the 1 bad ball per over to 1 every 4-5 overs where as Sodhi and Santner were still bowling one every over.
I still think Santner is probably number 1 choice as #8. But Craig should definitely get the look in once fit, especially with vital batting contributions. Patel did bowl pretty well in the other two test but at age 36 as opposed to Craig being 29 I think Craig's best is still yet to come, considering the improvement we've seen.
Agree to disagree I guess, was the only spinner that got decent drift and troubled Kohli and Rahane constantly.Vehemently disagree that Craig was the best spinner in the first test. Craig is utter shite, guys, it's OK to admit it.

two consecutive 5 wicket hauls in EnglandWhat's Sohail Khan still doing in the squad?
Yeah but was dross mostly. He brings negative energy into the team.two consecutive 5 wicket hauls in England
Poor fitness combined with poor fielding and body language. He goes missing more than half of the game. I think his two 5 fers does not reflect his performance. He bowled poorly in the 4th test and at the end managed to pick up few last wickets making into 5 fer iirc.Is it because of his poor fitness? Look I don't deny that but the guy is a skilled bowler. He can move both the old and the new ball and was Pakistan's best new ball seam bowler in England in terms of wicket taking ability. He lacks the consistency due to his fitness and errs in length but he was moving the new ball in conditions where Amir did not, with all his consistency and control.
That being said, I really like Imran too and he has the right skills, but Sohail is a more experienced bowler and has the knack to pick up wickets.
The fact he has to be stretchered off the field for an hour after each spell isn't a great look, must admit.Poor fitness combined with poor fielding and body language. Inzy is carrying him. The guy has great strength but Sohail must be very heavy too.The fact he has to be stretchered off the field for an hour after each spell isn't a great look, must admit.
Had a look at the pitch in reddit. Don't worry the match needs 3 days top. Could go either way.
