27.4 68.4 kph, gone! India are taking this game by the scruff of the neck. A fidgety Stokes moved right across to off - too far - as Ashwin hurled one down full and straight, the ball rattling the stumps on the full. 133/5

35.2 76.2 kph, and he's gone next ball! Ashwin followed up with a much, much slower ball that just hung in the air. Stokes stepped forward and tried to work, against the spin, into the leg side, but the ball gripped, spun and took the leading edge, presenting the bowler with a very easy caught-and-bowled chance. India are taking control of this match. 173/5

35.4 89.1 kph, whoa what a catch! Raina you beauty! They couldn't catch a thing during the Test series but Raina is showing the team how to bat.. and now how to take a sharp slip catch.. The batsman gets a faint edge as he waits on the back foot and Raina at slip dives to his right to swoop it low with one hand.. Superb catch 149/6
All of these in England btw

You completely missed the point. He didn't say Vettori wasn't successful. He was referring to his definition of "talent", which was more than fair enough.

anyway this thread moving way too fast for me

Gonna have to call it a day

Make this thread again just prior to the next Ashes and I'll tell you at length why Stokes is absolute **** and Ashwin is a god
No brakes...perfect time to put all the gym work into test here

There was this view that he can't play in swinging conditions and is thus crap. Not sure who used to say it.
Well he banged back to back doubles or something very early on in his career in England and most of his home runs also happens to come in very testing conditions. So yeah not sure who'd say it prob Zaheer Khan

smith had that one series at home to england in 04/05 where hoggard utterly dominated him to the point where smith hid down the order at jo'burg.

apart from that he was very good against england.

All this TPC talk is reminding me that someone good with photoshop needs to put a cape or captain america costume or something on a Herath pic for the zimbabwe test.

Who will answer this call, for king and country?
