And they have begun pinning batsmen to one end as bowlers, which Kane and Lats didn't allow them to do. Should sort them out quickly.

Same area, same pace, same rip.

He's hitting that rough at a good length outside off. He's found the zone to bowl it at and now he's aiming at it. This is fun.

Yea felt he fired that in a little flatter as well, so that Kane would hang back rather than push forward. Will need to see a replay of the few deliveries before to be sure. Crazy that he got so much turn on it. No other ball today has spun that much. Hit a nice area of the pitch there.
Perhaps it hit that footmark short of a length about 8th / 9th stump, so it wasn't planned, just a short wide (e.g. bad) ball that got freak turn? Waiting for next replay to see.

Don't know if someone posted this. In 2016 so far, Ashwin is both India's leading wicket taker and leader run maker

Whoever said Murali Vijay is the mirror image of Ravi Jadeja was spot on.

He actually looks a handy part timer now too.

Yeah, I think he was definitely pulling his length back gradually but he didn't mean to pitch it that wide.

It wasn't flatter, it was a bit shorter but not short enough to be a bad ball. Definitely seems like he aimed for that rough, especially given he's bowled a few more in that zone now.

i've decided i'd prefer ronchi slog some runs so india have to live with the fact they let the domestic engine room king score runs against them on one of their hometown turners.

Now my head is filled with Benaud telling me to aim for the rough patch repeatedly from one of the EA games.

She's a different pitch today, but credit to India... got their most likely two on from the get-go and pretty executed things perfectly. Could have easily have gone through the motions and bowled a quickie from one end.

NZ batsmen can't afford to just push and prod from here in. The only upside is Jadeja & Ashwin can't bowl forever.... or can they?
