Notts down.

Hampshire don't win today and they are very nearly down also- actually that's wrong - they'd still be favourites to go down but Warwickshire would only be 8 points ahead, both with one game to play.

Hopefully Somerset beat Yorkshire next week (a long shot given it's at headingley), and Middlesex don't win, meaning three teams can win it going into the final game. Even then it would be a long shot for Somerset (draw between Yorkshire and Middlesex, win for Somerset).

Yeah, we need a win massively last game of year. We deserve to go down though considering how bad we have batted for large streaks of year.

Ryan Sidebottom is a flat out legend. Absolutely the best English county championship bowler of the last 20 years. Hopefully a sixth (!) county championship title coming his way in the next few weeks.

What changes do you think we'll see for central contracts this year? They want to award more contracts to limited overs specialists, I think, but I'm not sure how they can fit them in with Bairstow and Woakes demanding recognition. Reckon Hales might face the curious combo of being awarded with a central contract as a limited overs player while getting dropped from the test side.

2015-16 Central Contracts:

Moeen Ali (Worcestershire)
James Anderson (Lancashire)
Ian Bell (Warwickshire)
Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire)
Jos Buttler (Lancashire)
Alastair Cook (Essex)
Steven Finn (Middlesex)
Eoin Morgan (Middlesex)
Joe Root (Yorkshire)
Ben Stokes (Durham)
Mark Wood (Durham)

2015-16 Incremental contracts:
Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Gary Ballance (Yorkshire), Alex Hales (Nottinghamshire), Chris Jordan (Sussex), Liam Plunkett (Yorkshire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire), James Taylor (Nottinghamshire)

~

Predictions:

Ian Bell (Central -> nowt)
Steven Finn/Mark Wood (Central -> incremental)

James Taylor (Incremental -> nowt)

Alex Hales (incremental -> Central)
Johnny Bairstow (incremental -> Central)
Chris Woakes (incremental -> Central)

Jason Roy (nowt -> incremental)
David Willey (nowt -> incremental)

Seriously, how many players do Surrey want? It's like they can field 2 FC standard sides now.

Sussex: Nash, Salt, Hudson-Prentice, Cachopa, Brown (c/wkt), Jordan, Robinson, Wiese, Archer, Briggs, Magoffin

Sussex with the 6 bowler route and crap/untested batsman route. Jordan at 6?

Suppose there is nothing left to play for in div 2 so may as well get Salt and whoever some gametime.

Luke wright seems always injured, and Ed Joyce skips the odd game for Ireland or whatever.
