Great signing for you, was way too good for us. Looked a class act last season and should make the step up easily. Would imagine you might be able to sign him long term as with the money in the top flight now his chances will be limited. I thought of you when I saw you had signed him.
This is what I wanted to hear, you were certainly not wrong about Woods, he might be our most important player now.

Buying loan players is something we used to do but has been harder recently, those that have stood out for us have ended up going to other Championship clubs, the money is getting pretty huge now. Very happy with our window though.

The only question mark about him is whether he is a striker or a wide man in a front 3, guess your manager and coaches will be better equipped to get the best out of him than our jokers. Good player though.

We were really in need of a wide player so think we can be fairly certain that is where he will play.

It's interesting that the big clubs struggled to offload a few older guys on massive wages this year. Been waiting for it to happen for ages.

Anyway. Sissoko. £30m. Thirty ****ing million. Newcastle fans laughing at it. Mike Ashley so happy he's actually considering raising Sports Direct wages to NMW. Anyone who saw him play for Newcastle are just surprised he actually turned up to sign the contract.
I wouldn't be surprised if he finally turned it on again for Tottenham. He's a dangerous player when he can be arsed. The trouble is I doubt that would last more than half a season or so before he reverts to stealing a living whilst praying for Real Madrid to want him.

This actually sucks because somehow people are managing to praise Ashley for keeping us in the black despite buying a ton of players. People are fickle idiots.

He was our best wide player, our best striker and our best player as a number 10 as they seem to be called now. No idea where he will eventually end up but it won't be in League 1 as he is far too good for that.

Difference is City have so much money it doesnt really matter how they spend it, whereas Liverpool don't so the transfer failures are far more painful/funny.

Sam Allardyce says it is "not for me to say" where Wayne Rooney plays after starting his England reign with a 1-0 World Cup qualifying win in Slovakia.
BFS not familiar with actually managing and tactics? Rooney drops deep because he's an unfit git with no stamina. That and he ball chases like a child. Rooney as an automatic pick who plays where he wants will be hilarious once they play decent opposition.

Won't happen until Russia, if Scotland are dishing out 5-1 hammerings then it's a **** group.

Yeah, it's pretty grim. I've actually found in recent years that I've started to not look forward to the start of the season because it's always such a disappointment when it goes away again after three weeks. It's almost like the season doesn't actually start properly until the fourth round of games in some ways.

Doesn't help the transfer window doesn't close till just before the international break either. So many deals go through after the season has started that you have no feel for who may do what through the season. A few weeks ago i'd have said Chelsea would do wee, now they have Luiz back I think their chances are diminished.
