Haha......that's a fair enough comment i suppose. But tbf, previous "peaks" have never looked quite like this!!So unlike England to peak in ODIs between World Cups....

Yeah and his own thinking is also a product of the 90s. He keeps talking about how openers should try to see off the first 10 overs without losing wickets, how Pak should save wickets till 40th over and then go all out which is basically the template of 92 World Cup, followed to the T in the 99 World Cup under Akram.Congrats to England for a brilliant performance, taking nothing away from their performance but this series has once again exposed Pakistan's fragile ODI team.
I agreed with Wasim Akram's anaylsis a couple of days ago when he said Pakistan still have the mindset and play cricket like the 90's, I cannot understand why this is the case. I fail to recall last time Pakistan chased down a total of 300 in ODI’s, we have been struggling to chase totals for at least the last two decades and we are still struggling, now we can’t even set ‘decent’ totals because teams can chase down 350 to 400, which means our batsman are always under pressure either batting first or when chasing.
It would be a good sign if the top order had scored them, not your number 11.I know it could have all ended at around 200 runs for Pak, but 275 runs scored in 42 overs is a good sign IMO since the main complaints are about their slow scoring 90s style
Yes but the team which has passed 350 six times will stop doing so again when the WC rolls around. That, I imagine, is what annoys their supporters so bloody much. Two teams crashed out of World Cup 2015 looking like they didn't quite belong there. One of them has since then blasted 350+ score 6 times. The other crossed it only once against Zimbabwe.
They've got a good chance this time with the new format excluding minnowsYes but the team which has passed 350 six times will stop doing so again when the WC rolls around. That, I imagine, is what annoys their supporters so bloody much.
This pretty much. All the fans and Pak analysts are blaming the bowling. And this is where it gets so frustrating when talking about LO cricket concerning Pakistan. The thinking of pretty much everyone is outdated. 400+ totals are not a rarity anymore. 350 plus totals are regular. 300+ totals is 50-50.Actually don't think Pak bowled that poorly the batting by England was out of this world they were smashing near perfect Yorkers at 90 mph for boundaries
ODIs are a funny format.Yes but the team which has passed 350 six times will stop doing so again when the WC rolls around. That, I imagine, is what annoys their supporters so bloody much.
