Whatever it takes!!!
Was always second slip IIRC
Might explain that in Tests his drop rate is 20% with 0 direct hits but in ODIs the rate is 4% with 6 direct hits.. maybe he should stay at point like Ponting?Spends a lot less time in the slips in ODIs I imagine.

Cook is such an unnatural looking slips fielder. He's obviously ok at it, but I cringe inside whenever I see his catching technique.Warne made a point at close of play yesterday about how quite a few slip fielders learn the art at Test level rather than First Class level and it got me asking about Cook and where he'd fielded prior to captaining. There seems to be this convention that the captain fields at 1st slip regardless of whether he's any good at it.
Certainly don't remember Ponting being at slip much in 2005.
Yes from when Mark Waugh retired Ponting was pretty much always at 2nd slip, if there was oneWas always second slip IIRC
Warne first, Ponting second. Hayden was in the gully until Warne retired iirc.hayden first, warne second ponting third wasnt it
Yeah thisWarne first, Ponting second. Hayden was in the gully until Warne retired iirc.
Except for the fact they're all shite.Starting to look like Burns could be gone
Although since we tend to play a batsman short I don't see why Burns couldn't just come back in for M Marsh or Holland. There's no reason Burns, Khawaja and Smarsh couldn't all play in the top 6
will back this up with a 00Never doubted Smarsh's ability
to score a ton first up on his return to the side
