Opportunity to watch an hour of the Federer match. He's one set up and its going with serve . Pella struggled a tad though.
Still feel it would be a strange Wimbledon if Federer wasn't there in the second week.

Yeah I get that, but I guess my points is I am not sure we thought Fed or Muzz were going to be as good as they were when they were 19? I know Fed was seen to be very talented, but be ATG? Dunno. Nadal and Novak yeah we knew they'd be awesome.

And even if Zverev and co don't hit those heights, not sure that means we don't have the next generation of "champions". I think we shouldn't take this current generation for granted, and anyone not as good as the big 3-4 aren't excellent.
sure we have a decent bunch of good to very good players, but we also have been spoilt by the exploits of the current top players and would need to reset expectations once djokovic and murray also start to fade...another bunch of similar other-worldly talents is highly improbable anyway...

Benoit Paire at 7-7 and Gilles Müller at 11-11 in the fifth.

Why am I not surprised those two are involved in matches that go way longer than they have any rights to.

Konta v Puig about to start now, think this will be very good.

Really excited about Mayer v Thiem, hope Mayer doesn't flop:)

Kyrigos v Brown and Del Potro v Stan should be fun 2nd round matches.

Both were down match points in the 5th and won. Paire was down 0-40 too!

Always amazes me how many tennis players choke tbh. Like I reckon I've witnessed 3-4 complete bottles already - Mattek-Sands, Skugor and Tursonov spring to mind.

Man Tomic was absolutely cooked at the end of the 4th. He is so lucky the rain came. He's probably now favourite, whereas Nando was most likely due to Tomic's **** fitness

Weather forecast today: Drizzle all day. The sort of weather where clay stays reasonably safe and true, but useless for grass.
Yep..your typical English Summer..raining cats and dogs here in the North.. Hopefully get some play in today.

He's quite decent. Been quite a few entertaining points. He had a breakpoint a couple of games back.

Federer's serve is going to have to improve by a huge margin for him to get far in this tournament.
