none of them has the upside/ceiling of a federer, nadal, djokovic or even a murray...
Oh well, we don't have a guaranteed arguable GOAT as a 19 year old. They still are more promising than any 19 year old we've had since Del Potro probably (and injuries ruined him)

Strange that considering even Djokovic at 24 wouldn't have been regarded as anything like GOAT.

He won two Grand Slams before the age of 24 and two more shortly after his 24th birthday and at that point held three of the four titles. Head and shoulders above anything that any current young player is likely to achieve.

Maybe. I really think Zverev has the game to be something special, but the bar is set so high by the current guys I'm not sure what the standard is. One aspect of what makes Djokovic and Murray so much better than anyone else right now is their incredible endurance and fitness. Will take years for the young guys to get that fit probably.

Yeah I get that, but I guess my points is I am not sure we thought Fed or Muzz were going to be as good as they were when they were 19? I know Fed was seen to be very talented, but be ATG? Dunno. Nadal and Novak yeah we knew they'd be awesome.

And even if Zverev and co don't hit those heights, not sure that means we don't have the next generation of "champions". I think we shouldn't take this current generation for granted, and anyone not as good as the big 3-4 aren't excellent.

On the women's side, Muguruza got a much tougher draw here than at RG. Lots of players (Venus, Janković, Šafářová, Keys, Kerber) that could go toe to toe with her. Potentially Lisicki too, she needs some points if she's to maintain that all-important C-list celebrity status in the Federal Republic.

Also a potential tasty Serena-Mladenovic R3 replay.

This excuse making by the commentators and talking about how tough this draw is for Edmund playing against Mannarino. Come on ffs. Have some self respect.

haha.

It is upsetting how bad he is. Its almost offensive that he won a set vs. Muzz and beat Simon.

Kohlschreiber close to losing wtf

Just when Djokovic's draw didn't need to get any easier....not that he would've beaten him but he had a much better chance of pushing him than say Mahut or Ferrer.

Tipsarevic is back and looking pretty dangerous. Saw him push Cilic leading into Wimbledon. Now really pushing Simon.

Willis doing more than decent out on court 17. I wonder if Federer is aware rankings go as far as players like this
