Nah they had chances but fielded ****, they were lucky NZ batted poorly, they wont feel happy but they have got a very chaseable score.Ha ha, dream scenario for Southee. Gotta feel for the fielding side there.
Ya that's what I meant - it's a largely inexperienced side full of aggressive batsmen. Chandimal, Siriwardena, Dilshan, Mathews are all very aggressive and make for entertaining cricket. They are no SA, Aus or Ind but they are the complete opposite of Pakistan. What do you prefer - watch Azhar Ali and Ahmed Shahzad defend and get reduced to 30/3 after 10 overs, or watch the SL batsmen hit out and sometimes get reduced to 30/3 after 5 overs? I prefer the later - especially given that the likes of Chandimal have it in them to score big when they click (which Pakistan never will).yeah true they collapse for 80 giving everyone some entertainment - good point.
SL slower bowlers made a difference. Strange we have not tried to slow the pace downInexperienced captaincy from KW. No point sitting and watching while momentum is with the opposition.
Wow! I hadn't realised it was that bad. :-(So since his amazing 7-fer vs. England, Southee's played 11 matches, has 8 wickets @ 74 with an ER of 6.78
