***Official*** Sri Lanka in New Zealand 2015

I wouldn't overrate SL's chances here.. one good spell from Boult and this side could be bowled out for ~150 easy. The surprise factor is Chandimal - never expected him to be consistent in NZ, his career Test numbers are good but I always thought they were buffered by home performances. Maybe he should be looked at more in the "Sehwag" perspective where you don't worry too much about technique and realize that he's just a gifted hand-eye co-ordination-type batsman.
Sorry mate but have you been watching a different match? Some of the cover drives he played were absolutely fantastic even before you take into account the wicket and the quality of swing bowling he is facing too??He has been on the up for most of the year...

Pitch looks very good to bat on now, but the comms were talking about some cracks beginning to open up. SRL really should win this, especially with Boult so off colour.

Karunaratne looking a lot more mature than last time I saw him in tests. Has the confidence to put away the poorer balls.

Bracewell's averaging 27 with the bat since his recall last summer, now. I think he's finally figured out how to be part of the Engine Room at Test level (ie. don't pretend your defence is good enough to bat #4).

Odds are exactly 2.00 on both NZ and SL right now.

You feel SL have the advantage with them close to seeing off the new ball.

Yeah his technique is fine. His shot selection lets him down sometimes, but there's nothing unorthodox or flawed about the method in which he plays them.

Not sure why NZ fans are so pessimistic just yet. SL have shown an incredible ability to collapse
Mate, you must understand what NZ fans are like by now. Pessimism is in our DNA. We say a batsman is in poor form two games after he hit a 290 and our clubhouse is called "Doom and Gloom".

In NZ Bahnz is known for his up beat optimism.

Sri Lankan openers looking very comfortable here - they're playing well and bar the occasional ball from Southee there hasn't been much threat.

They should be looking to set 350 from this position.
