Oh wow. You didn't recognise it. It is the cricinfo profile pic of Bruce Edgar. New Zealand's next coach.also wtf is this avatar it so doesn't feel like me ugggh
Do you not blame him for Henry turning to ****e? Mascarenhas must have had a fair bit of input on the bowling plans.Don't know much about Dimitri but from a distance he doesn't seem to meddle too much either.
Stephen Fleming would have gotten out to the yorker as his foot movement was too languid. Would have not nicked off.Nobody is Vice President of a company at 25 for that reason (or if they are, they shouldn't be).
.
You reckon Edgar will get the coaching gig? I thought he was persona non grata now at NZC.....Oh wow. You didn't recognise it. It is the cricinfo profile pic of Bruce Edgar. New Zealand's next coach.
How long was the bet for - 2 weeks?
Henry was bowling frequent deliveries that bounced twice before the wicket keeper as I mentioned earlier on that tour to England. Something has happened to him. Perhaps Dimitri was not hands on enough with him.Do you not blame him for Henry turning to ****e? Mascarenhas must have had a fair bit of input on the bowling plans.
He will do great things with Wellington and "earn the right", But yes I thought his rant over where he had to sit during the world cup final was petty and pointless. You reckon Edgar will get the coaching gig? I thought he was persona non grata now at NZC.....
I think it was for a year!Oh wow. You didn't recognise it. It is the cricinfo profile pic of Bruce Edgar. New Zealand's next coach.

Won't hold you to a year. Happy with a month. Deal?I think it was for a year!
I will continue to take Hesson I think. Suspect he tends to mold to the style of the captain in question.
Latham for captain!
i'll go back and find the quote. not going to dishonour the bet.Won't hold you to a year. Happy with a month. Deal?
Ok, fine! Edgar and Trevor Franklin to replace KW and The Mouse With The Upturned Collar!Stephen Fleming would have gotten out to the yorker as his foot movement was too languid. Would have not nicked off.
Haha.Ok, fine! Edgar and Trevor Franklin to replace KW and The Mouse With The Upturned Collar!
Most face-slapping part of this story is the quote from Dave Richardson who in previous media interviews seemed like someone worth listening to.Heh, McHesson baying for Llong's blood now.
Did Lyon decision contravene ICC directive for DRS? | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo
To be fair, an acknowledgement from the ICC that a mistake was made and steps are being taken to ensure it never happens again would make me feel a lot better about it.
FMD. Please tell me he didn't say that...Most face-slapping part of this story is the quote from Dave Richardson who in previous media interviews seemed like someone worth listening to.
"I was interested in a poll Channel Nine ran just after, asking 'would you have given it out or not out?' It was pretty much 50-50 the response so it was an extremely difficult decision."
This is deliberate evasiveness. 100% of the TV and radio commentators I heard discussing the incident thought it was out.
Yeah I read an interview with BMac a few weeks back where he said that he actually decided to take their style of play as a template for how they're going to play in future, rather than acknowledging it as a freak one-off subject to highly unusual circumstances--all the while forgetting the very good and sensible cricket they'd played in the year beforehand against India etc.I think a lot of our stupidly excessively attacking has come into our game since the Sharjah 'Phil Hughes' game. Obviously as a performance statistically it would be one of NZ's greatest ever test matches, even though it was such a morbid occasion. In that game with bat and ball we just attacked all the time and even since then (McCullum in Hagley Oval test, the WC, England, Australia etc) we have turned into sloggers and gone searching for wickets (the latter perhaps driven by world cup success). The players talked about the fact that they wanted to return to playing cricket for enjoyment as they did as kids and that the whole mourning process was cathartic and played a role in continuing to shape how they wanted to be as a team. It is interesting because prior to that in the home series against India Baz had been soooooooooooooooooo responsible with the bat and we kept fighting with the old ball (Wagner). That continued in the West Indies where we scored slow and grinding runs and Southee looked McGrathesque in his bowling disciplines even though Craig still went for heaps, and then early in the UAE where Latham looked like Mark Richardson. I like the idea of attacking cricket, but we often play stupid, low percentage cricket & there is a big difference.
