To be fair to him and Hales they may not convince everyone but they have done well in the time they have been an opening pair. Probably done more than expected and deserve a longer run in the side. Can't ask much more than that.

I still don't think Yasir is a bad ODI bowler (He surely isn't Ashwin-like consistent across formats). The thing is Azhar Ali is a bad captain for spinners and doesn't know how to use an attacking legspinner in the middle-orders with aggressive field-setting. Today Yasir owned Roy, but didn't have the close-in fielders to take catches.

Think owned is a bit strong, Roy played some great shots off him as well.

We needed that over, was going pear-shaped. Another 70-90 runs here and we have had an excellent 50.

Stokes shouldn't be in the ODI team. Barely worth his place in the test side but has done virtually nothing of note as an ODI player.

This is where Azhar needs to adapt more to the match situation. After he had bowled and picked up wicket, he didn't need to give another over to Malik.

Ive always wondered why azhar doesnt bowl more, he's a decent bowler(he's googly is better than yasir's) and when he played in the under 19's! he was primarily a bowler
