This is one of the best wicketless spells I've seen in a long time. Scary.

srs? This is why they need to sort out these Australian balls. Whatever they use in NZ and England is what we need.
You mean... the same balls? This is why they need to sort out these Australian balls. Whatever they use in NZ and England is what we need.
Thats a really good point I haven't seen mentioned beforeWhen are we going to have a serious discussion about reducing the 80 overs between new balls.
This is great cricket right now
lee at eden park against papps? There are two other spells that come to mind:
1) Lee at the waca in 2001/02. Bowled a ball to Parore that hit his bat about halfway through his backswing.
2) Akhtar in 2003/04 when he skittled us for 90 on the roadiest road you'll ever see.

Nah, Macca could whip it down at 125 in his prime more like Hazlewood v Astle.it's the difference in pace between say josh hazlewood right now and craig mcmillan
Warner was saying just yesterday that the balls over the last year have been really poor qualityI really doubt it's related but we ordered two batches of kookaburra regulation this season for training and the seam fell apart for the first 2 we used after about 10 overs. Stopped using them after that and sent some pictures back to the retailer and he hasn't got back to us (probably won't ever) so we just assumed we were scammed and these were fakes made in Pakistan or something.
Well, I'm not sure about reducing the overs between deliveries. Typically we'd have the new ball swing for the first 20 overs. Then the batsmen would accumulate for another 30. The final 30 overs would see the ball reverse swing. Basically we're not seeing either the conventional swing or the reverse swing happening in Oz to any great degree. Hazelwood got it to tail a little bit but nothing that troubled the batsmen too much. When are we going to have a serious discussion about reducing the 80 overs between new balls.

Woops, but my point stands. 100 behind becomes 400+ just before stumps on day four on a pitch with some noticeable cracking.180 behind, but yes if we lose another here things could unravel very quickly.
Just read it. Interesting that Ashwin complained about the SG ball very recently and said he preferred the Kookaburras used in the Duleep trophy.Warner was saying just yesterday that the balls over the last year have been really poor quality
