Well, I'm not sure about reducing the overs between deliveries. Typically we'd have the new ball swing for the first 20 overs. Then the batsmen would accumulate for another 30. The final 30 overs would see the ball reverse swing. Basically we're not seeing either the conventional swing or the reverse swing happening in Oz to any great degree. Hazelwood got it to tail a little bit but nothing that troubled the batsmen too much.
Well its not compulsory to take the new ball. But FMD, this passage of play has been far better than anything else in this run marathon. The potential for taking the new ball earlier atleast gives some options to the fielding side on these roads

Hopefully I don't jinx Johnson into a quality spell but ****s who think Ross lacks against quality pace can go do one.
All players are susceptible to a quick delivery early in their innings. Taylor is no exception. He's well set now and he is a good player. Even though Starc bowled a brilliant spell Taylor was seeing it well and managed to keep the ball out.

johnson looking disappointing slow just shows how quick Starc was bowling
Johnson is obviously not 100% there. A bit like Southee and Boult are in this series. We know all three bowlers can bowl a lot better than what they're managing at the moment.

I was kidding before but now I'm really glad the WACA is dying, I don't like away teams scoring runs.
