ATM Hayden for sure, he has the more complete record. But having watched both, Warner strikes me as being more 'complete'. Hayden was always circumspect against the swinging ball -as he should have been- and took a while till he figured out how to survive high quality spin.Being serious, which one is/was better. Warner or Hayden?
Got very similar records average wise and hundreds per match ratios. Both destructive and both split opinion among fans.
Warner tho, just looks at complete ease no matter whom he bats against. It's scary really. He used to throw his wicket away, so you could count on him going boom-boom-bust. But now he seems to have added this new steel to his batting that makes him quite a dangerous prospect.
It will be interesting to see what chinks develop in his armour when he slips out of form, or if any bowlers can work him out...but going as he has atm, I can see him finishing with a career average of 50-55 if not higher. Which is ****ing amazing for an opening batsman.
