The worst thing about all this is now Craig is gonna finish with a decent average for the match.

Can only think they must be worried the Kiwahs will be offered the light if they crank up the pace. No other reason not to try and and get a couple of late poles once Warner got his ton.
Or maybe the Aus bowlers need a rest until tomorrow? Then come out all guns blazing.

Lel sucks to be Marsh, comes in when he can't do anything to improve his case, out to Craig of all people then play ends a ball later.

Don't be dispirited. We scored 300 odd in our dig which is respectable (ignoring the fact that it was one man's doing)

This bullying of our bowlers in the 3rd inning was always going to happen once Australia went in there looking for quick runs.

The other thing to think about is that our players are just not used to this pitch, while they know it like the back of their hands.

This pitch is essentially a type of road that becomes difficult to bat on against 140kms+ pace.
Not really if you bowl well though?

I like your question mark at the end of your post.

Yeah I am not 100% certain with my statement. I just feel even with a full firing Tim Southee out there the result would have been very similar.
Australia bullied England in that Adelaide test back in 2006 when they only needed 150 to win in quick time. If you only need a small total then you don't need to treat the bowlers with due respect.
Add on a good helping of scoreboard confidence to the batsman and it is a potent combination.

But yes we didn't bowl well.

If Australia declare 503 in front over night, no question that Brendon tells his boys to chase the "target".

Interesting that Lehman was dissapointed NZ scored 300 runs. He expects a better performance from his bowlers for the rest of the series (If I heard him correctly)

australia should set more than 503 but they won't cause over 400 = instant win (until the time in the near future where someone chases down 500)

Dunno what's worse New Zealand at cricket or Hurricane at picking over rated xis.
Warner is coming close to being excused from my list. I was quite impressed with how he paced his inning today.

Burns earned his way on to the list based on his century. Most good outswing bowlers in the world should be able to get him out without too much fuss.
