Very high chance for getting cancelled from all accountsThe tour is not called off yet right? Why all the vitriol then? IMO there is nothing wrong when security agencies have put up such warnings and your government and board want to be extra sure that security arrangements are good enough and situation is normal enough before they send the team out.
Banglawash avoided for AustraliaVery high chance for getting cancelled from all accounts
Ya confirmedBancroft not internationally-recognisable tbf
Good question. Have a read of the Australian test selection 2015/2016 thread for more talk on Bancroft.Ya confirmed
I know Mycroft (brother of Sherlock Holmes) - but Bancroft is the name I'm hearing for the first time
Well done. Had to be said.Nah you gotta call a **** a **** when he's acting like a ****.
I'm not sure if you're just incredibly ignorant or deliberately being a ****Nah, the decision to not play in SL in 1996 was a dog act, when most other teams played there. Same with the current Bangladesh scenario, where Pakistan, India and SA have recently played. Is Australia trying to say security concerns are in third-world countries like Bangladesh and SL only, and not in their own?

The security situation in Bangladesh is unrecognisable to how it was a week ago let alone when the recent tours occurred.
And your jealous whinging is getting embarrassing as well tbh.
I think you'd find if there was a credible terrorist threat in Australia that the government would not hesitate to postpone any sporting event.Nah, the decision to not play in SL in 1996 was a dog act, when most other teams played there. All well and good but completely irrelevant nonethelessMany bringing Pakistan discussion in forums and comments but overall situation in Bangladesh is no where close to Pakistan. If a team does not feel safe, they have the right not to tour but I hope we are not being completely screwed from hosting games because that does not sit right. People need to remember we hosted two successive world cups (50/T20) in few years, Asia cups, NZ toured BD regularly in the last years, India, Pakistan and South Africa recently visited without a single fiasco.
A lot has happened in that time since the T20 World Cup and the NZ tour though you have to admit. But let us suppose the ISIS claim to the killing of the Italian national is accurate for a moment. Lets presume any contacts in Bangladesh have brains also. The Australian team is 150% more juicy a goose to pick than attacking neutrals in SA, Pakistan and India, thus scaring us off at a later time. Many bringing Pakistan discussion in forums and comments but overall situation in Bangladesh is no where close to Pakistan. Yeah I completely agree. As I have said, any team not feeling safe has complete rights not to tour. In fact I think BCB also should not push any team although they don't have that much of a power but the point is no one can blame Australia for not touring. Just not right. But my fear is that this might become a chain reaction to the future tours like England is scheduled to come next year. Also my mentioning of successful events has to do with the fact that this can easily turnish the reputation as host which is being build through number of years. Overall it's disappointing. On the bright side, I hope this makes our government to take even more steps to remove all the threats from terrorists.A lot has happened in that time since the T20 World Cup and the NZ tour though you have to admit. I know Bangladesh is no Pakistan in regards to blatant risk, but if CA thinks there's a credible enough risk it shouldn't go ahead. Doesn't only put our team at risk but innocent Bangladeshis also. Cricket is just a game at the end of the day.
