I feel like you both have a point.Read the rules, ball cannot touch ground at any point. Fingers under ball is a myth which needs to die.
91Jmay is right that those are the rules, but social is right that it's a stupid ****ing rule and if the ball is caught and under control why the **** does it matter if the ball touches the ground after. How long do you have to have the ball before it can touch the ground? If you hold it for 10 seconds, run around celebrating then touch it to the ground to roll it back to the umpire is that not a catch?
