Hits the end of his fingers. Pointing said it might of dipped late but that's a regulation catch.Just saw the best drop. Is it me or was that kind of... casual?
I still don't get how one disappointing days play changes whether or not he should be feared. You also get that the type of crickets who are often described in such way tend to be more inconsistent than others right? One dropped chance in so many overs is far for being feared.
A shame really.Ugh, this pitch.
Yeah I mean it went low but he sort of just stood there and grabbed at it with his handsHits the end of his fingers. Pointing said it might of dipped late but that's a regulation catch.
Yea should have held that. Can think of a lot of slippers who would have.Yeah I mean it went low but he sort of just stood there and grabbed at it with his hands
He dozed off given the pitch I suspect.Yeah I mean it went low but he sort of just stood there and grabbed at it with his hands
Stokes should never be feared by the Australians. He's a decent and talented cricketer, makes his contribution here n there - but not one to be feared of. One day's play doesn't change that; but reinforces that belief.I still don't get how one disappointing days play changes whether or not he should be feared. England win is paying 19.0 now. Do it.**** deck but you gotta get the job done. Fair play to the Aussies.
Ball still new so hoping we can remove these two early tomorrow and then try and restrict Oz to 500ish. We then put on 650, declare at the start of day five and are on the golf course by tea that day, having bowled out the crime for 82.
If you don't place money on this then you must hate life
Uppercut was right. Crime is a great nickname.**** deck but you gotta get the job done. Fair play to the Aussies.

Both are good, mate.Idk whats worse. This pitch or weldone's posting in this thread
Cardiff was fine. No bounce but had something in it for the bowlers even on the first day.Much like in Cardiff I don't necessarily mind the pitch being flat or even a bit slow, I'm a big fan of variety in pitches in general. But the lack of carry is just bad for cricket IMO. Ball needs to carry to the slips off an edge, the short ball needs to be actual option etc. Not sure how much that can be controlled but it definitely sucks to see the ball not carrying through on day 1 for the second test in a row.
