Injuries haven''t helped, but he has been fit plenty of times over the years and has not contributed whatsoever.I'm surprsied at him going from extremely promising to awful in the space of a year. He's not even Indian.
He really is, some have pointed out when he emerged his keeping was fine, but batting awful, maybe he simply has not worked on his keeping enough and focused on his batting much more which has lead to the current predicament.Yup, knew the previous test was a bit of an anomaly. Sarfraz still pretty ****e behind the stumps.
Just a question why was Rahat not picked? Poor form or injury or what? Guy seemed way better than Junaid at least, bowled pretty well in the UAE against Australia IIRCInjuries haven''t helped, but he has been fit plenty of times over the years and has not contributed whatsoever.
He is worse than a passenger at the moment, as his mediocrity puts to much pressure on the other bowlers especially Riaz who has been overused a lot this year. I'd hope short term we get Imran and Rahat as the 2 quicks next test.
Injured I think. That guy Imran looked ok too.Just a question why was Rahat not picked? Poor form or injury or what? Guy seemed way better than Junaid at least, bowled pretty well in the UAE against Australia IIRC
I did read he was not considered fit enough for the first test, but he has been drafted in to replace Riaz for the third. So I am guessing he was probably fit for the second, if so should have been in the squad at least..Injured I think. That guy Imran looked ok too.
One more test left.congrats to SL on a good win and bringing it back to draw the series under pressure.Obviously I would have preferred to win the series but I will take a draw over a loss anytime(again obv)..nice to see thirri in the runs and hopefully this will spur him on in the odi's ..

sorry yes, of course there is, my mistake..One more test left.
I think that is a little harsh on Pakistan. They played very well in the first test and it was an impressive result to force a win in such an rain affected match. Lanka dominated the second test and were worthy winners but Riaz getting injured was a big losee. The quicks had a good time here so no reason to think Riaz would not have been a threat. Junaid was a waste of everyone's time, well played lankers, thoroughly deserved this victory.
They have been dominant for most of the sessions in the 2 test matches and the scoreline of 1-1 doesn't do them justice
