Yeah definitely. Stats look balanced now but he was definitely a batting allrounder. When I standardised his averages he came out as 48 with the bat and 31 with the ball.Given the lower scoring when he played I think he was much more a kallis than pollock
Goddard's standardised to something that looks a lot closer - 39 with the bat and 27 with the ball - particularly when you consider the fact that he was an opening batsman and a miserly support bowler rather than a strike option, two factors that sway his stats towards looking more like a bowler and less like a batsman than was actually the case.
