Picking Yadav and then not opening the bowling with him is so dumb.

Picking Morgan over Williamson for a few games, then dropping Morgan for Moises ****ing Henriques to end up with 7 bowlers is even dumber.

SRH, learn to cricket pls.

Yeah having Williamson and Boult on the sidelines when Henriques and Bopara are playing is a bit stupid.

Also, why would you lose overs in a D/N game? Makes no sense.

So Pandey appears to have improved his limited overs bowling which is nice to see. Really rate him in the longer format, swings the ball away from the righties and gets decent bounce. Hope he doesn't join the wheel.

All Indian bowlers are destined to join the wheel, if he becomes a quality bowler, his workload will be four times more than what it is right now. Don't think our bowlers are managed well.

Look at Nehra, he is 35, he just plays IPL and a selected domestic games, but his overall bowling and fitness has been so good. Although I would say that he is playing very less cricket, he can certainly manage to play a lot more than that and still be equally effective.

His fitness is atrocious, he was bending over wheezing and could barely stand straight after completing his 4th over yesterday. I know he's 35 but that's not good at all and it makes him more of a liability in the field than he already is.

I agree with your overall point though I think it's less about managing workloads than getting bowlers to get used to the requirements of International cricket domestically.

17 y/o Sarfaraz making his debut and he tries a paddle first ball
Looking forward to seeing him more, plays fearless cricket, he was better than Kohli yesterday even if he scored 11:laugh: Kohli was being so selfish, and also got AB runout.

I love the Narine hate in this thread. The guy has remodelled his action, it'll take some time before he gets back to his best, he is still able to bowl his off breaks and knuckle balls pretty well, generates the same amount of turn.

And I feel its the ICC that ****ed it up, they were testing actions with some other techniques before, and now they are using something else. I still feel guys like Narine and Hafeez were pretty okay, ICC should be transparent with what they are actually doing these days when it comes to bowling actions. The same bowlers were under the limits previously, its a bit harsh on them.

There is this thought process which has been perpetrated mainly by Dhoni. They don't like bowling faster bowlers as they can be inaccurate and go for lots of runs. Remember how India kept opening with Bhuvneshwar Kumar before that world cup. This is a bull**** logic for obvious reasons. The bowler will be as inaccurate in the later stages as he was going to be earlier. However, with a new ball, he can pick up a few wickets. So show some balls and bowl your fastest bowlers first up, ****s.

Huh? Bhuvi used to open because he swings (or used to) the ball miles. It was literally the only reason he was in the side.

Dhoni never opened with Aaron because the guy was just up and down, had nothing to do with his pace. When Yadav plays for India he usually opens because he gets movement. It's why Ishant usually bowls first change when Yadav or even Shami plays. Who takes up the new ball should have nothing to do with your pace under most circumstances.
