Every non Liverpool fan should be supporting Arsenal to prevent the Gerrard narrative.

You mean we shouldn't be cheering on Gerrard to try and finish his non-illustrious career by holding aloft a minor trophy like he's just won the ****ing World Cup? I wanna watch him celebrate with a tear in his eye, knowing he'll never win the league and his send off is second rate at best,

If lifting the European cup and captaining your country in three major tournaments, along a stack of other domestic honours is non-illustrious then boy I feel for how depressed most players must be when their careers end

Well he's no David May, and won't be respected as such I'm guessing. Same as Glenn Hoddle being no Nicky Marker.

Speaking of Exeter traitors I'm against Reading because of that Mackie thing I just posted, what a ****ing ****.

Pah, you're talking to a Man Utd fan here, trying to overcome my irrational hatred of a dirty scouse **** by offering up his lame medal haul is not the way to go about it.

Playing cricket tomorrow. If they have the United-Chelsea game on in the club (they shouldn't because Arsenal are the most supported team at the club) I'll rage.

Finish work at 4:30-5 so will likely have to listen to the first half in the car on the way back

Stewarding, then I'll walk home, so I might catch the second half, not going to bother watching either in the pub, who cares really.

I was going to answer seriously and ask if you mean current Gerrard is better than our current players, but not even the finest rose tinted Liver Bird shaped glasses could say that.

Then I was going to compare Gerrard to the list of world class players we've had at Old Trafford during his time at Anfield.

However I realised this is a Utd v Liverpool fan debate, and neither of us will give the other persons argument any merit, even though the truth is probably somewhere in between, so whats the point in being serious,

So i'll just post this

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my departure from the Premier League with the same number of titles won as Gerrard.

Would Gerrard even make the bench for a Premier League all time XI? Keane, Vieira and Scholes are all unarguably better than him and I think a decent case can be argued for Lampard as well.
