Guessing he's deteriorated further from last year, or as captain cbf.Why doesn't Franklin bowl at all for Wellington?
Last I saw him bowl he wasn't that bad... Certainly no worse than some of the other pie chuckers who bowl 10 a game for us anyway.Guessing he's deteriorated further from last year, or as captain cbf.
He was injured earlier in the year, perhaps that's impacting on him as a bowling option.Last I saw him bowl he wasn't that bad... Certainly no worse than some of the other pie chuckers who bowl 10 a game for us anyway.
First I have seen of that Crowe 91* innings. While watching it I knew that Patel would fail. He was tried everywhere in the middle order for the blackcaps and then found himself pushed lower and lower down. In domestix he was the business and some days you couldn't bowl to him.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqSEiYGr-2Q CRICKET: MARTIN CROWE (91*) vs AUSTRALIA 1993

He's still getting the job done I see - https://www.crichq.com/#matches/214888/2nd_inningsSurely this season of all seasons would be the time for Lance Dry to make a belated provincial comeback?
That was a classic ODI series. Went down to the final over at Eden Park and saw 19 year old Jeff Wilson show some of his promise before he got snatched away by the All Blacks. Shane Warne in action a few months before he bowled his ball of the century to Gatting. Also, Warren Lees final series as coach before he was unfairly axed. That season Crowe switched from using Duncan Fearnley to a GM Autograph. Interesting to see so many guys batting without helmets.First I have seen of that Crowe 91* innings. Might've been perfect timing for him that they were playing at Pukekura, figured throw him in while he's in ridiculous nick and see if he can access the short square boundaries. If it was a final I'm sure Anaz would've played, but no harm in throwing in a future gun on a ground that suits him while he's seeing it like a ferris wheel. Being 18 he hasn't played against a bowling attack anywhere near CD's, so it's all learning.Auckland keen on Phillips, debuted him today ahead of Kitchen and Raval.
No good against fuller lengths again, nicked off early to KNB.
Wagner & Craig bringing Otago home. Ryder getting some runs earlier. Bit of a disappointing run chase for CD, Will Young getting 56. Also, Dane Cleaver getting 60 batting at number 7 with 6 sixes. Cleaver seems to have done quite well this season. Looking at his background I see he is Williamson's cousin and was in the 2010 WC under 19 team. Sounds like a reasonably smart guy, I guess you'd say his dad has a background in agribusiness?Might've been perfect timing for him that they were playing at Pukekura, figured throw him in while he's in ridiculous nick and see if he can access the short square boundaries. And Auckland are going to defend 260 easily, that doesn't happen too often down there.
New students' leadership potential rewarded - Massey UniversityHer brother was captain of the Palmerston North Boys’ High School cricket 1st XI, now plays for Manawatu as a wicket keeper and batsman and represented the New Zealand’s under-19 world cup team this summer. He is doing two degrees – a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Bachelor of Science.
Their father, Mark, is a Massey staff member and alumnus. He has a degree in agriculture and a graduate diploma in business and is now the University's research management services director.
Maybe it's just my amateurishness but if someone was looking to hurtle a ferris wheel down at me, I'd be PatelvsSouthAfricaing and hurtling to square leg as fast as I ****ing could.Might've been perfect timing for him that they were playing at Pukekura, figured throw him in while he's in ridiculous nick and see if he can access the short square boundaries. I might see it coming, but I fear my timing would be a little off. And Steve, don't do yourself a disservice. I'd much rather listen to commentary by you than by the uber-sycophant Mark Nicholas.Ah yes, but you'd see it coming, wouldn't you?
I'm not ever going to make it as a colour reporter. Even one as cringe-worthily bad as Mark Nicholas.
Here's something from Wasim about Crowe. Wasim selects him at 3 in his first XIFirst I have seen of that Crowe 91* innings. While watching it I knew that Patel would fail.
