I know his debut indicated otherwise but Rahul looks like a really solid player of spin.

Don't **** with Rahane. He is scoring runs at 5 like a boss. Leave him there.

quality stats mongering.smith made two cracking tons at waca and scg under difficult conditions against broad/anderson when aust were 5 down for bugger all and both of those innings went a long way towards australia eventually winning both of those games.smith also played several quality knocks in england as well.root basically made that 180 on a dead pitch when the game was all but gone so suggesting that either have performed similarly against others bowling unit just by looking at the average is well poo.this is probably the first series in which smith is not facing a good attack or playing on difficult conditions.

think this discussion was sort of done few pages back but i hate it when people use stats to compare blokes who have only played 20-30 tests.
