For quite a few years now it has been my privilege to enjoy following Phillip Hughes' career and to call myself a fan. Of course the loss I feel is nothing compared to the anquish being suffered by those who knew and loved him, but I feel it just the same.

Sean Abbott, Hughesy won't be playing all those tests he was destined to now, and it isn't your fault in any way. But carry the little fella with you when you go out to play and be the best you can, maybe you can play those tests for him. I've no doubt he'd want that.

Think he'd be more likely just to stop bowling completely, but nothing would really surprise me at this stage.

Every risk, we'll just have to wait and see, although seeing how players like Rory Hamilton Brown were affected by Tom Maynard doesn't give good precedent.

Yeah my cousin knows Sean Abbott; he reckons he'll take some time off and then come back as a batsman alone. Even that is still basically just a guess though.

Yeah, the fact it was on the field in front of them is bound to get to a few. Hope they get the help they need but CA seem to have done everything they could so far as far as the players are concerned. Just hope anyone affected opens up early and doesn't bottle it up.

Its going to be so hard for the SA and NSW boys this year. Theyll probably find it difficult to celebrate success and hard to care as much about failure.
