I did see Franklin playing in the CPL, are you saying it was for another team?Nah NZC will just keep it at two I guess. The can't really make it all touristy like the Caribbean comp, and would need to play HRV games at 4am to get an Asian broadcast deal.
I'm suprised the Tridents are allowed to do that with Franklin tbh. I thought the whole idea of Otago getting Brett Lee over to Dunedin was because the guy had to play at least one domestic game for you beforehand. Maybe they were granted an exemption due to losing Dwayne Smith and Shoaib Malik to other teams.
can you do this for the plunket shield?

Nah, last year he was involved. Not this year -I did see Franklin playing in the CPL

Roach said ND was now going through the process of seeking a replacement player through the technical committee of the Champions League Twenty20 and were expecting to get a decision by the end of the week.

It's likely a replacement would have to come from an extended squad already supplied to tournament organisers.
Contenders include Australian pace bowler Chris Tremain, seamer Anurag Verma, a like-for-like swap in left-arm spinner and batsman Mitchell Santner and batsman Jono Hickey.
He said he felt more comfortable batting in the middle order and relished the opportunity to bat there for the Scorchers.
“I prefer batting at five or six,” he said.
“Obviously, I want to be known as an all-rounder. I just prefer to bat in the middle order. I just don’t feel comfortable batting at No.3.
“I struggled a bit at No.3 (for the seconds) and it showed. I had a few technical issues.
“I scored a few runs, but you need to turn those 50s into big scores. Half-centuries don’t win matches.”
