*Official* English Football Season 2014-15

Welbeck doesn't really give you anything on the left. That's where he played that season he got 1 goal in 27 games or something.

With hindsight the idea that he can do a job there has been a bit of a disaster for his career. I think a lot of people don't rate him because of ****e performances/statistics from when he played wide.
He is quick and can run at defenders so he seems like he should work there but he won't dribble past people or whip great crosses in. So he needs balls behind or to be played into space.

Everton's defending for Arsenal's goals was absolutely dreadful. Especially the first one. Was literally like they just couldn't be bothered.

Edit: Really good point on the whole though, especially when you factor in how Arsenal were terrible for 80 minutes. Can't see all that many points being taken off Everton at home over the course of the season.

Why did Wenger turn down Cesc when he plays Wilshere every week? :(
It's legit disgraceful. It was acceptable if he was going to play a 4-2-3-1 with Özil as the 10, but if he's going to play a 4-1-4-1/4-3-3 with Özil wide and Wlshere in the middle then life can **** off.

Yep 100% correct, Welbeck is decent through the middle and absolute **** out wide, people forget to make this distinction when evaluating him.

I seem to remember the odd game when he played out wide and did a good job tbf. The one against Real Madrid when Nani got sent off, for instance.
