Been wondering, when do England tour South Africa next? Feels like an age since the last tour. What was it, 2008?
We may be touring the WI in early 2015. Not sure though. If Anderson gets a ban, he has to wait, right? Is it really correct that England won't play a single Test abroad, until hosting NZ in May 2015?
It was 2009/10, so it's been a while. Possibly due to go there in 2015/16,.Been wondering, when do England tour South Africa next? Feels like an age since the last tour. What was it, 2008?
3 tests in WI in April. 2 against New Zealand in May - June at home then the Ashes. That is a ****ing crazy itinerary. We may be touring the WI in early 2015. Not sure though.
Monstrous schedule for next year. England are going to need a big squad. The ECB have their scheduled FTP online btw. Ones with links are the tours with fixtures confirmed: Future England tours overseas and tourists to England | England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) - The Official Website of the ECB
There have been some plusses this summer, no question. And you could add the batting of Ballance and Root, neither of whom were certainties back in May.Anderson's decision put off to the weekend then.
Anyway after the adulation what do you reckon would be good Test careers for Moeen and Jos.
I'm only thinking this because if Moeens career stayed the same (I know not going to happen) I would be pretty pleased. In fact about averaging 32 with a ball, and around late-thirties early forties would be a great career. Yet even if you put it about mid-30s in both it would be effective.
Anyone that thinks Buttler will be a new Gilchrist is fooling themselves, if he averages the same as Prior whilst 'keeping well, I would be hugely delighted. Yet I think I'd take about mid-thirties, considering how quickly he'll score and the percentage of matches he'll turn on it's head with that average.
Also Stokes and Woakes, as all-rounders might be worth a thought. Even Jordan, but I'm not convinced unless something changes.
20 tests in under a year I think.Monstrous schedule for next year. England are going to need a big squad.
You're not kidding. The one-day schedule looks massive: 7 in SL, a triangular tournament in Aus and then the WC. All this before the tour of the WI and the English summer tests against NZ and Aus. If we want Broad and Anderson in any sort of shape next summer, we should be calling time on their oneday careers.Monstrous schedule for next year. England are going to need a big squad.
Well that was a colossal waste of everyone's energy.ESPNcricinfo @ESPNcricinfo
