That thrashing was so like 2011. The most depressing thing was we were playing for a draw from before lunch day 1. We need to go with 5 bowlers for the next test. Ashwin needs a look-in and Shami needs to go. He was so promising ;( Hope he doesn't slip away. And who would have thought we would miss Ishant so badly. Wish we had Umesh here. Maybe Ishwar Pandey is the way to go.
Batting has been held up by Vijay, Rahane and Bhuvi the whole series. Pujara and Kohli need to step up. Also LOL at Sanjay Manjrekar who was hyping up Kohli like crazy before the series. Kohli is a good player but saying he will score three centuries in the series easy is crazy. Dhawan should go. Felt that before last test, feel that now. He looked like he was going to get out any given ball against pace and spin. Would bring back Gambhir.
Hopefully we win day 6 of the test and get rid of Anderson.

Yeah, these are my feelings too but I won't really have a lot of sympathy for him if he does cop one.
I hope it doesn't happen though because the series is set up beautifully right now.

Welcome to test cricket. Are you suggesting it is only OK to sledge the experienced guys but newbies should be given a gentle introduction?
Look I don't know what happened with Jadeja, if a line was crossed and there was physical contact made then clearly no one wants that in the game and he should cop the punishment. I am a little surprised though by the general dislike for Jimmy.......so he is a fast bowler with a bit of mongrel about him.......aren't they supposed to be ****s?
I accept that I'm looking at this from a (very) biased position but I haven't seen anything from Jimmy throughout his career that makes me think he is the villain that he's made out to be.

He's not satan, but he's a wanker on the field. That's his right (so long as he doesn't push ****s) but people have the right to call him on it. It's like Hayden, Harbhajan and other pricks who talk **** on the park.
Honestly its so clear Anderson is disliked by the opposition (see Australia and India in particular) its obvious he's a **** on the field. Probably the king sledger, every team has them.

Nah, but it's definitely slightly weird for a test cricketer with near 100 games under his belt who bowled really well to go off at a newbie in particular when the day has already ended and you're dominating. It's obviously massively different when the play is on and you're doing it to gain an edge but he's just being a **** for the sake of being a ****.

Love how Stokes went from being the best English player on the Ashes Tour, one fairly nondescript game on a featherbed and one game where he takes 5-90 to being behind two guys who've gone wicketless and a guy who most people seemed to hate three Test matches ago.
Find it utterly bizarre. Stokes should be playing at Old Trafford, doesn't matter who it is for. Broad needs to be rested if Anderson plays. Jordan should obviously be dropped. Plunkett + Stokes + Woakes + Broad/Anderson.
As for the whole series being set up nicely... I think if England get ahead early then India will capitulate like they did last time. Any neutrals who for some reason don't hate India should be hoping India gets off to a good start next Test.
