The contracting process for domestic players involves two rounds, with each team to contract a total of 15 players overall. The Major Associations can offer 9-14 contracts at their discretion in the first round and then complete the process to their full contingent with second round contracts being offered on 8 August 2014.
It's 15 contracts this year isn't it? So still more to be announced in a couple of weeks I believe.A summary of contracts note only Auckland didn't pick a full roster of 14. 1 place left to fill.
A much better cricketer than Rhodes; a real shame that he's looking increasingly unlikely to do anything notable in First Class cricket.Simon Keen joins the long list of "so what was that about anyway?" Australian imports.
Give it a rest champion. Just because he wasn't handed a contract doesn't mean he won't see the field. So McCullum helped get Seifert.....thin air. Itstl.
Auckland have been exporting cricketers for years tbh, they just keep the wrong ones.Give it a rest champion. Just because he wasn't handed a contract doesn't mean he won't see the field.
Predictable ND squad, won't get to many arguments from me. No keeper contracted as of yet, Dane Cleaver finally making the move perhaps. Going by Kippax's thinking we obvs just aren't fielding one this season though. 13 of the 14 born and bred in the district, can any of the other teams say that?
Now Auckland have nicked most of their boys back most teams are looking pretty homegrown, and everyone has the majority of their players from their own stocksAuckland

Not a rumour, Ben Horne will be playing his cricket in the ND region next seasonAuckland have been exporting cricketers for years tbh, they just keep the wrong ones.
Isn't the rumour Ben Horne is making the move to keep wicket for you?
I don’t know if McIntosh is completely done with FC cricket as I understand it is planned that he will captain the Auckland A team, to develop players, and may just get a coaching contract. Hopefully he will still get a couple more FC games and be able to retire on the field.Huge fall from grace for McIntosh.
Haha, that's just such disgraceful recruitment, isn't it. Canterbury at its parochial, small-minded worst.Canterbury
Fulton, Broom...wait where are the contracted middle order batsmen?...Ellis, Astle, Henry, McCone, Bennett
Changed my mind. Barring Latham's return, spoon.
Henry Nicholls is a decent bat, tbf. Darren Broom might get a crack in the middle order. Or someone like McClure / Carter / YugarajaHaha, that's just such disgraceful recruitment, isn't it. Canterbury at its parochial, small-minded worst.
Well Diamanti doesn't really bowl anymore and he's been contracted, so I reckon he'll be there as a bat unless he's been contracted as a limited overs specialist.I reckon Broom will bat 4. So, 1. Fulton 2. Latham/new opener 3. Nicholls 4. Broom 5. ? 6. Ellis/Astle 7. Fletcher 8. Ellis/Astle
Yeah quite possibly. When I saw him in the list I just assumed Canterbury was doing the same thing ND have done with Styris recently but perhaps he's available for the whole season.Well Diamanti doesn't really bowl anymore and he's been contracted, so I reckon he'll be there as a bat unless he's been contracted as a limited overs specialist.
