*Official* English Football Season 2013-14

Gonna sound like a broken record here but Vermaelen really is ****ing awful. Completely at fault for the first 2 goals.

Hard to grudge Everton their win though, they were tremendous.

I haven't been hugely impressed by West Ham. Seem to be putting twice as much effort in without even making any half-chances.

I guess running around a lot goes a long way but they probably can't keep it up. Reckon Liverpool will win it in the last 15.

Don't know what everyone is saying here, he made clear contact with the player. Deffo pen for me. Reckless.

I called it a foul live, but he was on his way down prior to the contact for me. That being said, keepers are always playing Russian roulette doing what he did there

Reading through the early pages of this thread while watching today's games. Incredible some of the surprises this season.

Nobody saw Liverpool coming even if Furball and Cevno's tip they'd struggle to sixth was always crass (Furball also labelled everyone who thought yer scousers would finish above Arse as morons ftr), but even Ikki wasn't tipping a title tilt, Nate felt they'd have an outside shot at top 4. Sturridge had few convinced (Wellbeck was better)

Palace were definitely going down. West Brom looked like the real deal (Brumby). Scaly was worried that Arsenal might actually win the title.

Tbf to Furball his dogmatic dislike of Spurs was proved correct. Uppercut said he'd only call for Moyes' head if they failed for top four and he was consistent in that. And I loved Ryan Lowe

Oh and Grecian was a grumpy ****

Mind you I've only read up to about October

Not even Rodgers thought it to be honest and I think I was basically on his line of thinking with this being the top 4 year and next year we push on. I remember just calling for top 4 I got a lot of grief here. I've basically been right more or less on what's happened.

I said Arsenal will be better and I think them challenging deeper into the season reflects that - even if it is petering out - and I said the younger players would get better (Ramsey emphatically did). I said Liverpool would probably get top 4 (also because the younger players were only going to get better) and we've done that and more. I also thought Moyes coming in would mean a real threat to United dropping out of the top 4 (I'm not sure if I wrote it here as for a period before the season I thought even he would get it).

Anyway, good win, the better team won.

Since we are on the subject.

Time for predictions that will be quoted and laughed at come May.

Man City to win the league, Chelsea being overrated in my opinion because of Mourinho returning.

Spurs to finish above Arsenal.

Stoke to get relegated at long last.
Don't think they will go down but they West Brom to do a whole lot worse.

Swansea to come above Liverpool. (I just want this to happen to be honest)
Even to suggest that last one is beyond embarrassing and Spurs above Arsenal is something that I never thought I would be stupid enough to predict.

Stoke obviously wrong as well.

West Brom about the only redeeming thing there and Chelsea to a certain extent perhaps.

Reading my Bees posts are kind of amusing as well. I had a good deal of optimism which I guess has been proved right but about all the wrong things, pretty much all the new players I were excited about have flopped to various degrees.

I can't find many predictions from myself. I'm sure I've said that we were going up but aside from that being standard, how was I supposed to know we'd be complete dog turd?
