Don't think they will go down but they West Brom to do a whole lot worse.

Swansea to come above Liverpool. (I just want this to happen to be honest)

Well they finished 11th last season, hard to see them going much better than that. They shouldn't go down though. Horrid to watch but they're really well organised with just enough quality going forward.
Is amazing to think they came 11th really, had that one good spell and a couple of results right at the end of the season.

I don't mind Norwich's style of play TBH, not as ghastly as others, just think they've hit their plateau.

Think WBA have made a great signing in Anelka.

People clearly rate the influence of managers very highly because I still think Chelsea have some obvious weaknesses. Unless Van Ginkel is extremely good straight away I still don't really rate them in midfield with Ramires and (Chelsea version) Mikkel. Then there is upfront, again Lukaku may come In and be brilliant but if he is not then again I think they are a little thin in that department especially when Man Utd have Van Persie and City have loads of options. Maybe watching Madrid and all that came with it last year has made me underate Mourinho but I don't think he is that much better than anyone else.

They will lose less games against lesser than they have the last year or so but I don't think they will take the league. Not seen a single minute of pre-season but City just look to have the best squad and I rate Pellegrini extremely highly.
Yeah I definitely think the manager is really important. Mourinho had a bad season last year but his overall record is still ****ing insane, CL wins with Inter and Porto, the guy churns out trophies for fun.

I'm not at all skeptical about Pellegrini though, and I agree that they have the best squad. It just seems like a big transition, they've overhauled the entire attack and started playing an entirely different system. It usually takes teams a while to get going after that.

I'm not top of the Mourinho fan club, but I think they have some great players, and have been hideously mis-managed from the owner down-wards.

I disagree about the mid-field entirely, I reckon Mata and Hazard are brilliant, they've signed de Bruyne and van Ginkel which can't hurt.

Azpilicueta is a top youngster, and he'll galvanize the older guys to work with the youngsters. Strike-force is why I put them in second. Benteke would have been a great buy for them I reckon, cheaper than Rooney.

Yeah I was not referring to Mata and Hazard, they are clearly brilliant as is Oscar but they are attacking midfielders, as is De Bruyne. Van Ginkel is going to be the interesting one to watch but it is an area where City look a lot stronger with Yaya and Fernandinho.

City have the best squad, have done the best business in the window, and don't have a complete ****wit as a manager. I'll be surprised if they don't win it.

Is there a tipping comp this year?

Note: the above question in no way constitutes an offer by The Sean, his family or dependents to run said comp.

City looked all at sea in preseason from what I've both seen and read. Players just not adapting to the system as of yet. We turned them over at a canter. The ingredients are there in terms of manager and squad but not yet clicked. Hate ever happens it'll be an interesting year

Like Uppercut, I think it'll be a step too far for Pellegrini to bring the club league glory in his first year. For that, I reckon it's Chelsea's to lose.

I'm optimistic that if we keep Suarez we'll get 4th place as long as we don't have any big injuries or several players out. In pre-season Mignolet has already made a big impression and going forward I reckon we're on par with anyone in the league. Sturridge and Coutinho were outstanding from January onwards and they'll get better (certainly pre-season suggests they have gotten better). If we get Willian, watch out. Possible line-up:

----------------Mignolet
--Johnson--Toure--Agger---Enrique
-----------Gerrard----Lucas
--Suarez----Coutinho---Willian
---------------Sturridge

Top 6:
1. Chelsea
2. City
3. United
4. Liverpool
5. Arsenal
6. Spurs

I'm going to suggest to the mods that no-one should be allowed to post in this thread unless they sign up to Furball's tipping thread - go on - you know you want to

If this transfer window hasn't drawn comment from duffer then I think we've lost him for good :(

He was probably pissed off more than any Arsenal fan here about the lack of transfers in other years. This transfer season has probably pushed him over the edge.

I like how 'it's our year this year' has turned into getting 4th place. I can't wait till 10 years time when they'll be optimistically delusional about avoiding relegation.

Why do Stoke keep letting Walters take penalties? Must have one of the worst records for regular penalty takers - sure he missed about 5 last season

Tipping Sunderland to struggle, actually.

Knock is that players ****ing hate Di Canio's boot camp approach to managing/training.

He's gone by Xmas in any event.

Chavs, Citeh & Manure top three in any order, Arse fourth again.

Hull & Palace looked ****ed; other spot between Mackems, Stoke and the red Bluebirds.
