That he's an annoyingly typical teenager? :p
If he's a teenager then I apologise to him I was judging the joke against the humour of adults. Sometimes/very regularly my late twenty something and early thirty something team mates get into X rated comments but they are actually less predictable than that particular joke and more "out there" and actually funny to me.

Been a great tour to watch from a cricketing point of view. Lots of amazing performances throughout. Once again, a series full of missed opportunities for us. The scoreline night show we lost 4-0 and 1-0 but it doesn't show that we competed intensely, which makes it even more gut wrenching how often we've let slip golden chances to push home the advantage in virtually every single game in the series . I'm torn between being very hopeful for the future because of the fact that we haven't been pushovers overseas even with a very young side and trepidation that if we don't start winning one of these games soon, our confidence will take a beating. Every single youngster impressed me at some point on this tour and just goes to show that we need to start trusting them and giving them more opportunities to prove themselves at the international level. I love what you did for our team from 2007-2011, Zak, but it's time to go. And Dhoni can just **** off with his captaincy, need someone to knock sone sense into him or just get another captain.

To NZ, wonderfully played. This is the first real look I've had of Southee and Boult in their home conditions and they're great to watch, quality bowlers. Mccullum shocked me, I never imagined he was capable of playing one of the ATG rearguards. Deserving winners, really. They won the big moments and we didn't

The Tiger King
With Newzealand just about a twenty runs ahead and five wickets down in the second innings and a very new ball in the hands of his most successful fast bowler, why would you bowl with no slips, no gully, no one close catching anywhere, a long on, a deep mid wicket and a deep fine leg . . . in a TEST match !!

With all the problems about betting in the game, one wonders what the odds were on Newzealand drawing the game 110 runs in the arrears and the five top order batsmen back in the pavilion in the second innings with over two days to go . . .

How much money could be made for betting on a draw at that time ??

Conspiracy theory ??

Even after all that has been going on for the last two years ?
:jump:

you nailed it

I have some photos on my phone of McCullum bringing up his triple (among other photos of the test). I've already promised to email them to Heath, but I'm happy to do the same for anyone else. Just let me know what your email address is via VM and I'll send you the photos. Can't promise that they are amazing quality but they've come out alright I reckon.
To add to this post from Jono, it was the best time I'd had at the Basin in a while. With Dan coming over, I pulled out a few stops that I wouldn't have bothered with if it was just me. Got there early every day, got a prime seat under one Pohutakawa or another with camping seats, cushions and a picnic, got pissed at the Sol Bar. It was great to share yarns about Kiwi cricketers past with KiWiNiNjA, his memories of Cricket Max at Cooks Gardens and the like. Didn't see quite so much of Jono, but it was good to be there with him today and share the historic moment with someone else.

I have some pics from my camera that I may get to share at some point. Probably not for a couple of weeks though as they have to go through post-production...

Of all the cricket blab it was tales of CD/Wellington/Ireland Left Arm quick Regan West that stuck in your mind, aye?

Here's something else to stick in your mind.

I have no words. Just a wonderful innings.
this is the best innings by a New Zealander I have ever seen and probably ever will. we were dead twice over at 94/5. what a legend.
What an innings this has been,
Oh Boy. Well done NZ.
The hairs on the back of my neck just stood up, and I'm not even watching. Unreal
Brilliant, getting 300 should be always be special but this one has so much more meaning than the last few we have had.
Unbelievable. Plays for CSK, my home team
And gone.

Wow.
Had to go digging for the golden moment thought I would bump them here so others can see them easily. @James if you do another book - those quotes have to go in.

Wish I had've been online to post a comment too - as mentioned I got my friend to text me in the middle of my meeting. He texted once at 293 and then there was a long delay before getting
"Baz 302 and out".

Yeah, it misses the beginning of Boult's run to the ball where the hand gesticulations were at their most wild. @KiWiNiNjA
