The Battlers Prince
International Vice-Captain
I did think about it, but in place of who? Others were Sobers, Jones, Symonds, Jayasuriya. Only have eleven placeshow can you have an excitement Xi and not have wasim akram in it?

You can definitely kick Afridi out of that team unless you want to make it exciting only for the oppositonExcitement XI
1. Sanath Jayasuriya
2.Virendar Sehvag
3.Viv Richards
4.Brian Lara
5.Kevin Pieterson
6.Adam Gilchrist
7.Shahid Afridi
8.Jeff Thomson
9.Michael Holding
10.Shoaib Akhtar
11.Allan Donald
has the highest strike rate of anyone since they started to be recorded. Wasim would add to the bowling but I'm happy with the ones I've chosen there. Other bowlers possible, Spofforth or Bond or Chris Cairns who could slog it similarly to Wasim? You can definitely kick Afridi out of that team unless you want to make it exciting only for the oppositon
Two serious mistakes:Excitement XI All Time
Victor Trumper
Virender Sehwag
Viv Richards
Brian Lara
Garry Sobers
Adam Gilchrist
Ian Botham
Kapil Dev
Shane Warne
Frank Tyson
Jeff Thomson
Wasim Akram
Great side, and never ever any lower than 6 for Miller, but of course 5 is his spot. And as ever, I bat Miller in his correct spot.
Right you are on both counts....
Victor Trumper
Virender Sehwag
Viv Richards
Brian Lara
Keith Miller
Garry Sobers
Adam Gilchrist
Ian Botham
Kapil Dev
Shane Warne
Jeff Thomson
Probably need to replace Murali with Saqlain as Saqlain was the first off-spinner to use the Doosra, unless I'm mistaken. The XI of Greats who did something first:
WG Grace - First great modern batsman
Virender Sehwag - First ultra aggressive opener
Don Bradman - First to make really big, huge scores consistently, not to mention the 99..., well you know.
Garry Sobers - Three types of bowling, plus the first really great left handed batsman
Ranjitsinghji - First to open up the leg side to batsmen
Keith Miller - First true all rounder all rounder
Adam Gilchrist - First ultra aggressive batsman keeper
Sydney Barnes - First fast spinner
Harold Larwood - First great fast bowler with bounce and swing
Frank Tyson - First truly ultra fast bowler
Muttiah Muralitharan - Unique, one of a kind bowler
Think he meant how Murali used his wrists in his deliveries. Only wrist spinning off spinner ever, maybe?Probably need to replace Murali with Saqlain as Saqlain was the first off-spinner to use the Doosra, unless I'm mistaken.
