No doubt, wouldn't want to see Virat open come World Cup time.
Yeah Pujara or Gambhir should be in the World Cup squad. In fact I'm starting to come around to the idea of Pujara or Gambhir opening in the first choice side and Rohit batting a bit lower.

Not Terrible
Have India decided that after Jadeja and Ashwin scored runs last time they no longer need a batsman?

5 bats including the keeper. WTF?

International Debutant
Neesham probably needs to prove to himself more than anything that he can play at this level. Really hasn't done well with the bat for NZ to date (ave 13 after 9 matches).
He looked impressive when he came in and smoked Tino Best to finish off that final T20.

Was just wondering about that. Know very little about him, but his stats make for pretty ugly reading.
He's basically been picked as an ugly but effective type player because of his performances in First Class cricket, however he's ugly and predictably ineffective in one day cricket. It'd be a bit like giving Sam Wells a go in ODIs; just weird. Should probably be batting eight and bowl 2-3 overs as the sixth bowler in this lineup so it's almost like India have opted to play with ten.

Virat Kohli (c)
He was always going to be rested during the ODI's. It's just that he kept on contributing that he didn't get an off game until today.
Ah okay. Rested because he's tired/played a lot or rested to give others a go?

Seems an odd move. Do you think its the right one?
