Bucketing down now. Doubt New Zealand are going to do any more batting today.
TBH, that could work in our advantage due to the way DWL works, our innings isn't closed, we've got a high strike rate with a lot of "resources" available in terms of wickets in the bank.

Yeah, in this case NZ are seen as being disadvantaged by the rain, as they were batting like it was a 50 over match, not a 33 over match.

So DWL is more likely to **** over India.

from NZ's perspective:

if we don't get to bat again from here, that's ok.

However, if our innings is shortened and we do continue batting, that really sucks.

NZ management were approached about the incident and advised there was a high risk of rioting if the game was cancelled due to the incident.
Nah I know, I read that bit on Cricinfo. Still, amazingly wtf, the whole thing. Can't believe I didn't know this match occurred until I read it on here.

Tbf, there was a high risk of a riot whenever India lost or were losing badly in those days.
Yep. Which is why I don't understand why everyone hates Indian fans now, simply because there are apparently a lot of Indian trolls on the internet, instead of the previous generation of Indian fans, who burnt **** down.
