Yeah Costa is going nowhere, least of all Arsenal. Not really our style of striker.

Rumours about Shaqiri leaving Bayern, not heard him linked to Arsenal at all but could be a possible move.

Agree Gnabry has looked excellent so far so maybe it will just be a central striker, no idea who though.
Hadn't really considered Shaqri, good shout. Also a few rumours about Arsenal reigniting their interest in Di Maria.

It's time to see what Ryo Miyaichi can do...
He and Park seem to be only ones left after the deadwood cleanup of the summer. No idea why they're there, as Arsene clearly has next to no confidence in them.

Arsenal have played without a proper wide man for half their matches this season as well btw. Could easily just play Wislhere or Rosicky there. Or even shift Cazorla and Oezil across and play Podolski out wide on the left.

I love Shaqri, don't care about who he goes to but would really like it if he was in England. Still think he would be the ideal signing for manu, but they've never seemed interested.

Who's the best target though? Read a tweet saying Arsenal can replace him positional wise easily, but can't replace the amount of goals he gives, which I'd have to agree with.
With Wilshere, Gnabry and Rosicky we have enough options out wide right. Especially with Chamberlain coming back soon too.
It solves a little bit of an issue in a strange way IMO as there's no way we'd go back to playing with Walcott and Podolski on the wings, we were only ever going to opt for one 'direct' winger and Podolski and Theo are pretty similar players in terms of style and output tbh.

Draxler would be the dream.

Well Bees are supposed to be getting Chuba Akpom on loan so don't you go calling him into the first team squad as emergency cover or anything

I don't think Ryo was ever likely to be one of the departures during the big clearout tbh. Was still thought of as a decent prospect at the time; whether he still is rated as such is certainly less clear. I wouldn't mind seeing him given a go tbh, looked decent on loan at Bolton. Gnabry clearly a better option though.

Arsenal certainly not short of options on the right, but I think they could definitely do with at least one player in the attacking midfield space who's provides a more direct threat than most of the options Arsenal have available. Rosicky, Cazorla and Wilshere might pass you to death but they're not going to worry a defender with their pace etc... and none of them are renowned for being particularly clinical. If Chamberlain is back soon, he and Gnabry would be decent options there for the rest of the year I should have thought, but a new striker is now a must.

What makes you say this?
Wenger seems to be favouring a target man/hold up player, who's good in the air and can link up with the midfielders at the moment, and from what I understand that's not really Costa's style. More of a direct goal threat and clinical finisher, and less of the back to goal flicks and through balls which Giroud does. I'd still take him obvs, but I'm not sure Wenger will be after him.

Yeah, without doubt. Reckon he'd be a Prem superstar.

Nah it is more that he just such an anoyingly brilliant **** that everyone wants to kick him.

Certainly capable of a good dive though, has that Drogba thing of being really strong but may also dive, awful to play against.

Draxler's having a bit of second-season syndrome at the moment. But word on the street is that Arsenal's German contingent are a big draw for him, so it might yet happen.
